Best short movie mistakes of all time
Continuity mistake: When Snoopy arrives at the Halloween party, he slides down a set of curtains and then hides behind those curtains. In the same shot, Lucy approaches a tub of water atop which five apples are floating. When the shot changes, there are only four apples floating in the tub and Snoopy has now somehow gotten into the tub and is hiding under the water. The action is constant. How did Snoopy get from behind the curtain to under the water?
Continuity mistake: In the episode 'The 525 CrackerVac' the vacuum cleaner malfunctions (as usual) and Gromit challenges the device like in a duel. The scenery changes to orange like in a sunset and Gromit stands with his back towards the window. On the window sill you can see a cactus. Wallace is in the room near the door. The vacuum cleaner explodes and covers Wallace in ashes/dust. Wallace suddenly has the cactus on his head (also covered in ashes) and judging by the fact that there is a clean area behind Wallace on the wallpaper in the shape of Wallace with a cactus on his head he must have had the cactus on his head before the explosion, but we know he hadn't as the cactus was standing behind Gromit and Gromit stays clean after the explosion, so the cactus couldn't have moved. How did the cactus end up on Wallace's head?
Factual error: The adventurers witness Earth "rising" from behind the lunar horizon. Since the Moon is tidally locked, it always presents the same hemisphere toward Earth. Earth never rises or sets as seen from the Moon's surface; it stays stationary in the sky. No matter that no-one had travelled to the moon at the time - that fact can be deduced just by looking at the moon from earth, and noting that we only ever see one half of it.
Continuity mistake: As Gromit tries to get to the window with the bomb, he is stopped by being hit hard with a large metal oven paddle which swings in from his front right side. When we see Piella holding it, there is a Gromit-shaped dent in it, but it is dented the wrong way, bulging outward on the side he was hit with instead of indented.

Continuity mistake: In 4th black's move, king's bishop go to third row (A3) and capture the white knight. There is not elipsis yet, but. in 6th black's move, Geri's imaginary opponent takes a piece from A4 to B3 and capture a white pawn. but there wasn't any piece previously on A4, in fact, pawn was not moved before, staying on B2, its original place. In the next shot black bishop remains on A3 and white pawn on B2, as nothing was happened.
Plot hole: Mater tells McQueen he moved and looked like he just saw the Ghostlight. Sheriff gets on to Mater for talking about the Ghostlight and then their whole plan falls into place to trick and scare Mater with the blue lantern. Only there's no way they would have known that Mater would have mentioned the Ghostlight after that. McQueen didn't know about it, supposedly. And he had been scared by Mater and had been there enough that he would have known if Mater had mentioned it before, and Mater would have known he told McQueen.
Audio problem: As Lulu drops from the moon beam onto some books, the school house says "Or would you rather be a mule?" It pauses for a moment, and then you hear the school house begin singing about a mule as the camera cuts to a close up of the mule drawing in a book. But a split second before the cut, the school house begins his singing, and gets a couple words in before the camera cut. However you can see the school house’s mouth is not moving at this point.
Continuity mistake: After the inflated bird is popped by the fly, it lands on what appears to be an ape's head and begins spinning around and tap dancing on its head. The ape has both eyes open and looks pissed as he keeps playing his cello. Before the camera cuts, the bird has spun slowly so it's back is to the camera and the ape still has both eyes open. Then it switches to a different shot as another animal is about to smack the bird with his cello, and suddenly the bird is facing the opposite direction, and the ape has one eye closed.
Revealing mistake: After the narrator says that Clark Kent works for a newspaper, the image cuts to the Daily Planet tower and you see cars driving around below it. One street is curved and you can see that the cars at the top are going to the right and turning as if they came from the street going down on the left of the building. Yet you see on the street to the left of the building that there are only cars going down that street one direction, away from the top of the screen. On the other side of the building the same street has cars going towards the top of the screen. Like the cars are just spawning on the street behind the building.
Continuity mistake: The peddler has Spunky pulling his cart and they reach some train tracks. As Spunky is crossing the first rail, there is a hole under the rail that he is walking past that is to his right. But then it cuts to a close up and suddenly he is walking directly over the hole.
