Continuity mistake: In the scene where the three Confederate soldiers are about to be executed for desertion, a blindfold is placed around the deserter on the right. It is a narrow strip of cloth covering his eyes. The camera pans to the firing squad and then back to the three men. The blindfold on the deserter on the right, is now much wider.
Continuity mistake: During the attack a parked US plane is blown up and the prop goes cartwheeling off along the runway. Not wishing to waste a perfectly good explosion the director filmed this from several different angles and used the same explosion several times. You can easily see the prop each time.
Continuity mistake: When they are in orbit and Fred vomits you see Jim taking off his suit and an open hatch to the LEM which has not been docked yet. Later when preparing to jettison the LEM you see Jim closing the hatch over this tunnel.
Continuity mistake: When Joan first meets with her captains in Orleans, they argue. She walks away and La Hire calls her "a helluva woman". As she walks away, you can see him looking at her. Immediately, she turns back, and he is now looking at the other captains as she walks up to him and belts him. He must have turned his head very quickly, too quickly to be caught on film.
Continuity mistake: Sacajawea (Donna Reed) dives into the water to retrieve some important maps, which have fallen in and been taken to the back of the boat. When she dives in, the maps are back to the original area they fell into, when they should have been quite a distance from where they landed in the water.
Continuity mistake: During the entire battle the ground is sticky mud. When the French cavalry charge however the ground is dry, so dry there is dust coming from the horses' hooves as they gallop.
Continuity mistake: In game 154 in Baltimore where Maris needs 2 home runs to tie Babe Ruth's record, he comes to bat in the 2nd inning. The scoreboard shows that the Yankees have scored 1 run in the inning. Later in the game when Wilhelm comes in to pitch, the scoreboard shows that no runs were scored by the Yankees in the 2nd inning.
Continuity mistake: When Paul is talking to George after giving him the Cohiba cigar, at one point, he puts his hand to his face as the camera is facing him. When the shot cuts to George, Paul's hand is down, then immediately back up to his face when the shot cuts back to him.
Continuity mistake: When the protagonists are trying to get to the French embassy they pass a VW beetle whose windshield is smashed by a Red Khmer. The camera angle is not very helpful but if you look closely you see that the window is gone already, and the pieces flying over the hood are from the bit of glass that sticks in the frame. Continuity mistake: The scene in the film that follows Berstein's interview with the book-keeper, where he is getting all his notes on various bits of paper out of his pockets: there is a Life magazine on the desk in front of Woodward's typewriter. At the start of the shot where Berstein says: "Mitchell, she said something about Mitchell." the mag has gone, then it reappears and disappears randomly in the subsequent shots in this scene.
Continuity mistake: When the young Vercingétorix arrives at Gergovia and tells his uncle that he is returning the horse, the blankets on the horse's back change position between shots. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: The writing on Ghost's sword early in the film has the Turisas rune (representing TH in Thunder) near the hilt, but later not only is a different font used but now the Dagalas rune (representing the D in sword) is at the hilt.
Continuity mistake: In the school used to receive phone calls, a bald man to the left of the guy holding the phone gives a big puff to his cigar, creating a big cloud of smoke. Right afterwards, in a wider shot, all the smoke is gone.
Continuity mistake: When John baptizes Jesus, Jesus' hair is dripping water onto his shoulders as seen from the front. As seen from the back, there's no dripping at all.
Continuity mistake: When Robert DeNiro renounces his vows of obedience, he enters the room with his hair tucked behind his ears. During the conversation with Jeremy Irons, the camera cuts away and returns showing that DeNiro's hair has changed style - the camera then cuts away a couple of times and when it returns his hair is behind his ears again. Continuity mistake: Jesus is shown from behind on the cross with large gashes on the backs of his legs. He was flogged across the shoulders and back only at the pillar.
Continuity mistake: When Paul (the hotel manager) finds Timmons in the kitchen when Timmons had been shot and is bleeding, we see Timmons with his hands on his blood that is on his shirt. When Paul comforts him, he puts his bloody hands on Paul's white shirt, but when we see Paul outside the hotel, there is no stain from Timmon's blood.
Continuity mistake: In the final scene in the cave, the protagonist walks under the rain and becomes wet. After the whole poisonous needle thing, the camera cuts back to her and she is completely dry. (01:41:15)
Continuity mistake: In the shot where Travis hands Seguin the third message to Houston the off-center seal is closer to Travis. As Seguin takes it the seal is closer to him. (00:56:15)
Continuity mistake: When the guards come to take Elizabeth away in the beginning, before she is queen, Lord Dudley has his back to the camera and is saying goodbye to her. You can distinctly see the clasp of a necklace on the back of his neck, but in the next few shots, there's nothing there.
