Deliberate mistake: Old Weird Harold's pants fall down twice in the film. His boxers are different colors each time; once they're red, the other time they're blue. The director admits to this deliberate mistake in the commentary, siting his interest in seeing if people will notice.
Deliberate mistake: When Zoom is moving the documents from the desk to the floor for Marsha to pick up, she quite blatantly catches him two or three times, but continues on with her business.
Deliberate mistake: Loch Ness is portrayed as a clear lake, as shown in the underwater scene. In real life, Loch Ness is so murky there is only six feet of visibility. Obviously deliberately done for the sake of the storyline.
Deliberate mistake: At the beginning, the carolers are on the porch singing. The camera never pans, so this means that the carolers are facing away from the house (towards Gate) - seems rather odd. The only reasons for this would have been to make the clean camera move through the crowd and up the house.
Deliberate mistake: When David brings Jack home to meet the family and at the beginning of Santa Fe number. It starts raining buckets during dinner and the cake scene, but less than a minute passes and it is dry enough to sit down on the stairs at the beginning of the Santa Fe number. Then during the song "Santa Fe" and later in the dance sequence, the ground is dry as Jack is kicking up dust.
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where Maya is looking for Rodney at the party and he scampers off into the bathroom, he miraculously climbs on top of a toilet in a matter of seconds (which isn't actually shown). There is no way a guinea pig could do this.
Deliberate mistake: The 100-meter 'dash' goes over a longer distance and lasts longer than shown in the movie.
Deliberate mistake: After Baloo and Bagheera escape from the monkeys, they both have a black eye. However, during their conversation by the water, between shots their black eyes vanish. [This is a Disney tradition, but still a mistake.]
Deliberate mistake: During the dance number in the Dead Bar, the blue pirate has a sword stuck through him with the handle in the front, later it changes to the back, then to the front again. Seen when the groom falls back and grabs the handle, then picks the pirate up and drops him. (00:19:15 - 00:20:05)
Deliberate mistake: Even though Hamm is flicking through the channels at the same speed, the side with Al's advert on it is visible for longer.
Deliberate mistake: As the horse named "Sir Trenton", who is supposed to be a stallion, is galloping away you can see that "he" is a female.
Deliberate mistake: When Fagin shakes Oliver's hand (when he first meets him) there is a blonde haired boy standing right behind Oliver, but in the shots from behind him, the boy is gone. This may be because the camera is just behind where the boy was and he had to move so they could get the shots from this angle.
Deliberate mistake: The 27th floor is very tiny indeed, despite the outside view showing it to be as big as any other floor. On one end is the stairway. On the opposite side is the elevator Adam's team rides up in. There are only 4 rooms total, and between two of the room doors is the elevator ridden by the security guards. Also, logistically, the security Guard's elevator cannot be there if you notice the area at ground level where Adam's team enters their elevator. (01:46:40)
Deliberate mistake: The window blind in Maroon's office changes to a sheet of tambour (as found in roll-top desks) just before Roger crashes through it. This was to ensure his outline remains perfectly in it, otherwise pieces would drop out which are not attached to the strings on either side. (00:23:25)
Deliberate mistake: The turn count for Lisa's stay in the Cryogenic Sleep Chamber is off. The card reads she should be there for 5 turns. 'Turn' can either represent a single move made by either Danny or Walter, or a complete game cycle where both Danny and Walter have made a move. If we count the turns by player, it comes to 8 and she's awake 2 turns too late as it should have happened at the start of 6th. If we count both players' moves together as a start of a turn, then she's awake 2 turns too early as its turn 4 and not turn 6. It seems obvious from showing us the shower suddenly start up that this is the correct point in the film they wanted her awake, so it's unlikely she was actually awake off-camera during the Astronaut's arrival and we just didn't see.
Deliberate mistake: After Captain Hook pushes away the boat, Mr. Smee loses the oars, and in the next shot, the oars are back.
Deliberate mistake: In the facial morph, the faces don't come anywhere close. The face was morphed with no feature of either resembling the other. The only matching features were the hair and neck which were not touched by the morph. The midpoint of the shift wreaks of Photoshop-like effects (softening of the face alone). (00:41:50)
Deliberate mistake: When Arthur is drawing letters of the alphabet, he only draws the outside of the letter A, not the horizontal stroke in the middle, yet it appears on the blackboard.
Deliberate mistake: At the end of the movie when Gerry launches the go-kart in the air, all the spectators are about 50 yards away yet they are looking straight up as if the go-kart is flying above their heads.
Deliberate mistake: At the end of the movie Rocketman shows his lady friend a space blanket, out of which he states he made something: ballroom dancing outfits. The difference in the material is just too obvious for this not to be a deliberate mistake. The outfits aren't the slightest bit related to the foil they were supposed to be made of.
