Mistakes
Just as Will jumps on the rail of the Pearl with the gun, in the back shot, his right hand holding onto the rope is shoulder level and wind is blowing his hair towards his face. In the next few front shots, his right hand holds the rope between sternum and waist level and his hair is not blowing at all. Then in the next back shot, once again his hand is at shoulder level on the rope, and the wind is blowing his hair towards his face. See more...
Trivia
In the romantic scene between Elizabeth and Will where she shows him the medallion, she pulls it from around her neck. The necklace was attached to the back of her neck with sellotape to make it easily removable, but the first few times she pulled it off the tape was too tightly attached and pulled bits of hair off too. As was admitted on the commentary, the angle of the moonlight in the stateroom, which has a deep overhang outside of the doors, was deliberately vastly exaggerated, to enhance the shots with Governor Swann battling with the disembodied skeletal arm.
