Quotes

Mr. Gibbs: It's bad luck to wake a man when he's sleeping.

Jack Sparrow: Ah, but fortunately I know how to counter it: The man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink; and then the man who was sleeping drinks it while listening to a proposition from the man who did the waking.

Mr. Gibbs: Aye...that'll about do it. [He gets up and Will dumps another bucket of water over his head.] BLAST! I'm already awake!!

Will: THAT was for the smell.

Mistakes

Aboard the Pearl, just as Barbossa screams, "And the rest of you, bring me that medallion," seen to the upper right of the screen is a very apparant high CLIFFSIDE. There are no cliffs, high or otherwise, where they are having the battle - they're in open water. See more...

Trivia

When Barbossa and Jack are skeletons in the moonlight, their eyeballs were really theirs. It was the only part of their bodies which was not CGI-animated. Audio commentaries. See more...

When the Interceptor drops its anchor on the right side to surprise the Black Pearl, Barbossa turns to the crew and yells, "Hard to port. Rack the starboard oars." When he says this line, his teeth are either normal, or not nearly as gross as they are in the rest of the movie.
