Mistakes
When skeletal Pintel and skeletal Ragetti are in the rowboat their appearance and parasols differ between shots, and later, when Pintel attacks Ragetti in the wide shot, the two oars are each hanging off its own side of the boat. Trivia
Jack's pistol is the only authentic 18th century pistol in the movie. Director Gore Verbinski requested it especially because of the importance of the prop. The rest are made by a propmaster. See more...
Just as Jack says, "On deck, you scabrous dogs," to the very left edge of the screen over Jack's shoulder is a grip crew member with a tan cowboy hat, white short sleeve tee shirt and sunglasses, just standing there looking out to sea.
