Continuity mistake: When Ben and Leslie approach the commissioner about the recount, there are two guys sitting down behind Jen. The camera follows the commissioner leaving the room and then momentarily shows Leslie and Ben. As Jen is lying out on the table the two guys have now disappeared. (00:13:00)

Question: There may not be an explanation to this, but did Exley know what the DA and Chief were talking about in the end when he is being interrogated and they ask him why he is smiling. When he answers and says "A Hero?", I presumed he was simply thinking like they did and that when those that were interrogating left the room, he overheard a bit of their conversation and just put two and two together. The reason I ask, was there any evidence he was able to hear them (like the door was slightly open or somehow he knew how to hear them even in the interrogation room).

Mr. Monk Gets Drunk - S4-E5

Stupidity: It makes no sense why the staff or the guests would serve the wine to Natalie from where the dead body was being stored. The guests and staff go about cleaning up after he died to avoid any trace of him ever coming to the winery including putting his body in a large wine crate. Yet Natalie makes the discovery that the weird smell (of aftershave) from the wine which leads to the police discovering the body. There is no reason to serve her that wine. It was a vineyard after all - they had plenty of wine and as the staff was in on it, they could have made that crate inaccessible to serve. (00:18:35 - 00:40:04)

Continuity mistake: Just before the end credits, Boyle is walking to his desk and he places his jacket over his chair with his bag on top of the coat. The shot changes to Peralta speaking but then the shot goes back onto Boyle and the jacket has disappeared. (00:20:20)

Other mistake: Whilst Barnes is trying to disable the bomb, he uses one of the wires from his arm to try and loop the video and timer on the bomb. After he connects the wire the timer countdown changes from 0:03 to 0:43 and the loop of Sid saying "I already thought of that, faster." Barnes immediately comments its not working, before seeing it countdown again to 0:03 and resetting to 0:43, now commenting it's working. The fact that the timer reset the first time, it seems strange he wouldn't comment the timer didn't work the first time. There is a strong likelihood this was done to cover up not having a shot to insert of the timer continuing to count down.

Continuity mistake: When Jay is talking with his brother and finds out about his brother's cancer, he is holding a glass of scotch with a tiny bit of ice. When his brother approaches him the glass now just has ice with no scotch. We don't see the glass for a short period before he is about to sit in his chair and spills the contents of the glass, which now has the scotch and ice again.

Character mistake: Annie when giving her gifts is holding two little mini flags to cover the possible ethnicity of Shirley's baby. One is a Chinese flag and the other is Zimbabwe. Annie makes reference to the fact that the ethnic food she made is one from Ghana. She makes Ghana ethnic food but does not get the right flag for Ghana. She decorates the table with numerous flags which are also Zimbabwe.

As Ernie is driving along around 20-30 seconds pass inside the cab. When we see outside the cab and Ernie signals to the policeman, you can see the cab has only traveled roughly 20 meters from the Indian Club.

Revealing mistake: While Jack is leaving The Apartment after giving Jerry The Pen, you can see they have put a fake background outside the front door. What's more it is not even that realistic. Character mistake: When Nicholas Cage bumps into the beehive, he sees the bees coming towards him and runs towards all the other beehives. Given that he bumped into the beehive on the outer edge, it would have been safer, quicker and much less risky to run back the way he came to escape than run towards all the other bee hives. To complicate things Cage knew he was severely allergic to bees.

Continuity mistake: As Liz is talking to Dennis in the subway, he is leaning against one of the steel pillars with his left arm near to the location of his head. If you notice his arm is being supported by the pillar but his hand is not. In the shots of Liz whilst Dennis is leaning against the pillar, you cannot see his hand and the location of it should be covering part of his forehead.

Continuity mistake: During the final scene where Doughboy is sitting on the front porch with Tre and talking, you can see most of the porch is in shade. When Sherryl walks onto the front lawn and starts talking to them, the sun is now shining brightly on her and on the front porch. This happens throughout the scene. All the wide shots of them on the porch, they have the sun shining brightly while all the close up shots of them talking are in the shade.

Continuity mistake: When Mike accuses Jerry of murder at Susie's wake, watch the people behind and around Jerry. There are women either side of Peggy, turning around, looking surprised and moving their hands. The next shot, we see Jerry from behind his seat, and everyone has instantly changed to sitting perfectly still, looking ahead with their hands still.

The term is generally applied to a husband whose wife is sleeping with other men. Perhaps fitting, as Homer suspects her of having an affair.

Plot hole: In "Life's a Glitch", Lisa finds out that she has a seat on the spacecraft going to Mars as the proofreader. How, though, was she not informed of this before going to the rocket? The family only finds out about the rocket after finding Krusty's letter/invitation and the fact that she was on the list there would be no reason why she wouldn't have been informed of this. It was still New Year's Day so if it had been by mail then it would have to arrive before the New Year so as to make the plan work, being as it was a public holiday and no mail would be delivered. Therefore it would have to be delivered personally or someone would need to contact her. There were also many well known celebrities and figures ready to board the rocket. I can't imagine they were all home in time to gather their mail and were all somehow contacted, yet Lisa was simply walking around town and at church and they couldn't find her? There was also no evidence to suggest anything would have stopped her from either receiving the invitation in time or being informed of the mission.

Continuity mistake: After Banderas loses his rifle in the taxi, Stallone stops the car and then sees the cops. As he is reversing the car, it shows the front end of the car and both of them looking behind. You can see, however, two problems. Firstly the large cracks and bullet mark on the barrier window in the cab are completely gone and there seems to be large damage and cracking to the back window. When the shot changes to Banderas looking out the back, there are just a few drops of rain on the back window, and it's easy to see through. You can also see the cracks and bullet mark on the barrier window return.

Factual error: Throughout the entire scene in the police car chase, the slushy on the windscreen seems to have a host of problems. For starters the slushy is covered completely over the windscreen. Franco was hit and the slushy landed on the windscreen. Unless it was poured evenly down, it would spread out from where it hit. It could cover a good area of the screen, just not the entire screen. The next problem is the density of it. Certainly it could cover much of the screen but it's primarily ice and liquid. The substance would slide down the windshield and dry up. The fact they are driving so fast, swerving around etc., would mean the substance wouldn't likely stay stuck to the windows. Even if it had a good deal of time to stick, it would be near impossible. Finally the windshield in many shots appears to be in blotches like a painting. Again, the substance is not paint, it was spilt on and was only one substance. The substance might be more concentrated where it hit, but it would be less concentrated in other locations.

Plot hole: For the transaction with the buyers, Moore sets up two hotel rooms: one where she will be based and the other for the buyers. She also goes about setting it up so that her toy truck can be navigated through the ventilation system, with a camera and having a private speaker system between them. Now when Banderas finds the room with the buyers he is unaware of where she is but knows she's close and checks the hotel's billing system on the television. On the TV the room number she registered with is shown. She went to all this effort to protect herself and yet registered the other room in her name and linked it with her room? Its not like she would have missed something so important because she would have needed to sign in when checking into the hotel. It seems to only serve the plot as Banderas relied on this information to find her and make his move to try and eliminate her.

Plot hole: How was Cartman able to afford a fairly lengthy TV ad, when he had already spent all his money on the theme park? Cartman took all his money with him to buy the theme park. After buying the park, he runs the TV ad mocking Stan and Kyle. Soon after, when he hires the security guard, he reiterates that he had spent all his money to purchase the theme park. Cartman would not be able to get a loan (he is too young), even as a co-signer. Cartman's mother is also not wealthy enough to give him the money.

Continuity mistake: At the convention when we first see Roger and Hayley, they pass a booth that says Costume contest registration. There is also a few people around, a poster and a movable wall. The very next shot is more of a close up of the two and the background has changed dramatically. There is now about 4-5 different stalls behind them and no sign of the previous one or the poster and wall.

Wicked Game (1) - S4-E9

Plot hole: It seems strange why Alison and Cynthia Keener don't raise any suspicion with Wheeler's mother after rescuing her daughter Joanna. After Keener finds her and the other missing girl, she says to Alison that the kidnapper had taken them and had been torturing and abusing them for a number of days. However when Alison and Cynthia go to talk with Wheeler's mother about the old kidnapping case (before the two were rescued) the mother states that she has never been kidnapped and had even saw her yesterday. While the mother might not have been aware of her daughter's kidnapping, wouldn't she have been a little perplexed to have found her daughter had been kidnapped and tortured during days she had seen her. Even if this was something that was not shown, why wouldn't Alison and Cynthia (someone who is well trained in kidnappings) find the mother's statement combined with the kidnapping a bit strange.

Continuity mistake: At the end of "B.I.: Bartificial Intelligence," Homer climbs onto the ceiling and turns his head in a parody of "The Exorcist." He then lets go and lands on the bed. The only problem is that his body landing doesn't match the position it would from what we see on the ceiling. If he dropped down his face should be face down, body facing up and his head would be closer to the end of the bed. When he lands, his head is near the pillows, his body facing down and his head facing up.

Revealing mistake: When Alan falls off the ladder you can see the ladder has been set up so it will fall back safely. As the ladder goes back towards the balcony rail, it hits the railing and bounces up. The bottom of the ladder, which is unseen, seems to be planted as it does not move during this. When Alan was climbing up and down the ladder, it wasn't secured with anything at the bottom. Thus the reason for him falling off the ladder. (00:03:35)

Mr. Monk Gets Fired - S3-E4

Plot hole: While convenient to the plot, the computer system used by the medical examiner is far too poor to be taken seriously for a high level agency. While Monk is unaware of deleting the files on the computer, why would there be a one button push to delete all the files on working cases? Even to not have some sort of password to delete files is questionable, as most systems in offices and workplaces will only have functions like this for administrators, executives etc. We find out that all the files are backed up and are slowly being recovered. However, these types of systems are primarily for emergency scenarios such as fire, flooding and so forth. With the ease that Monk is able to delete the files by accident, it seems a bit hard to believe how easy it is to do.

Factual error: As Monk is removing the crumbs off the keyboard, he flicks one crumb away from the backspace key. It gets flicked up and lands near the 0 button on the numeric keypad. Yet when this happens, the screen then says "Do you want to delete files?" as if he hit the delete button.

Plot hole: It makes no sense why the police haven't done the most obvious thing and checked for fingerprints on the murder weapon (the knife). It would not only back up the detective's claim that he did not stab the victim (he never touched the knife) but would have given the police a major clue to finding and prosecuting the murderer.

Continuity mistake: As Hank jumps out of the closest to scare the boy that is scaring Bobby, we see the contents of the cupboard as well. We see a shelf with a large number of boxes. Clothes rail with many clothes hanging on it. Finally an assortment of objects on the ground. When Hank leaves and the father is wondering where his son has disappeared to we see inside the cupboard again. Everything including the shelf, clothes and clothes rail have disappeared. The only thing remaining is one small box in the left corner.

Continuity mistake: Just before the pest control team leaves for the Griffins', we see the black team member holding a shotgun in his hand. After showing Logan in shot, it returns to the black member and he's now holding what looks to be an MP5 machine gun. In the following shot as he starts to slide down the pole, the gun is once again a shotgun.

The next shot, Dreyman is holding the cigarette in his left hand and smoking it.

Continuity mistake: At the end when Laoma is crying and hugging Bill, the tears on her face are on her cheeks. As she asks, "Wait, Astronaut who?" the tears are now just found near her eyes. Factual error: During the video screening at the Teacher of the Year committee, the panel is watching the teacher who acts like Robin Williams. In the video the main judge says "Next" and pushes a button on the video control. It goes to the video that Bart Simpson sent in. How was this possible? The video control would only fast forward the video and two separate entries would not be sent in on the same tape. The committee wouldn't have spliced the footage together onto the same tape as the tapes were piled up on the desk. At the start of the scene one of the judges mentions to put in the next tape.

That '90s Show - S19-E11

Continuity mistake: This episode rewrites the entire backstory of Marge and Homer. For starters, Lisa and Bart were both not born yet, despite the fact that in the episode "Lisa's First Word," the '84 Summer Olympic games were being broadcast, and Bart and Lisa were both there. In this episode, Homer and Marge were just dating, but again in "Lisa's First Word," they were married and living in their Evergreen Terrace house. Additionally, Maggie was born in the episode "And Maggie Makes Three." Homer also lost all his hair in that episode, yet in this episode in the early 90's he still has a full head of hair.

Revealing mistake: When Kramer at the start of the episode puts the hose on the kitchen tap, he jerks the hose as it's not long enough to reach The Fire. If you look at the sink when Kramer does this, it comes easily out of its position on the counter top.

Continuity mistake: While Jerry calls George from the coffee shop to tell him about the survey question, there is a shot of the waitresses and staff sitting at the tables. Behind them you can see the booths the gang usually sits at and there is a wall right next to the booth with pictures and pipes. Only problem is there are always booths next to the two near the front entrance. Even in this episode you can see the other booths as there are menus, condiments and napkins at the booths next to the regular booths.

Visible crew/equipment: While the DAs are talking about their options in the case, after they first talk to the Priest and he refuses to testify, there is a few close ups of Nora's face. In most of these close ups the reflection of set lights are visible in her glasses.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the film when Nick's son is trying to convince him to not give up, he has a soda in a glass in front of him. During the scene when the shot is on the son, his glass is about three quarters full. From behind, it is about half full.

Continuity mistake: As the police come to arrest the 21 gang after the shootout, you can see a police car coming down a path behind one of the officers telling the gang to freeze. The police car has its flashing lights on and is coming quickly towards the end of the path. After a few shots, Frog remarks, "What do you want, eh?" The shot returns to the police officer and the police car is once again coming down the path, but this time doesn't have his lights on. Also, the car should have stopped by then, indicating the car was coming down the path again.

Continuity mistake: When Louisa is following McGavin (Pacman) after the shootout, she gets to the bottom of the stairs and her hands are on her hips. The next shot, her arms are by her sides.

Continuity mistake: While Hank is reminiscing about the car with his father he is in the garage and does not realise he is being filmed by the cameras. The following scene, the filming crew is watching the footage in the truck and the shot shows the camera angle is now different and would only be possible if Hank was standing in the alley outside his house.

Continuity mistake: When Kramer and Jerry are talking about the bird being in the hallway, notice how the intercom keeps changing. In some shots the intercom is not set straight and leaning to the right and in other shots it is completely straight. The most notable change is when Kramer is leaving The Apartment. It goes from crooked as he is leaving, then straight while he is outside in the hall and then the entire unit is completely pulled right out after Kramer rushes backs in.

Audio problem: As the ZZ top members are trying to convince Bobby about staying in school, there is a distinct microphone error after Frank speaks. When he says "and the presidents", you can hear it quite distinctively. It is as if he spoke too close to the microphone at the end of his sentence.

Continuity mistake: The exterior shot they use when establishing Monk's cafe is completely different than what is inside in The Cafe. First the outside has neon lights with just RESTAURANT. The inside of The Cafe, the menus, windows and door all have Monk's cafe logo on them. Secondly the door should be in the middle of the restaurant, instead the interior shows it to be to the left of the restaurant and somewhat to the side. Lastly the windows in the exterior shot are extremely large with no writing, logo and curtains pulled to the side. Being that Hank was so against the project, this would also make it a riskier move.

Second, the sun is shining brightly would not help with preserving the body for the coroner. Finally why have the police only cordoned off a small area around the body. Being a crime scene and potential evidence could be found it makes little sense why they wouldn't cordon off the beach or most of it from the public.

Deliberate mistake: Why wouldn't Hank just use a credit card to cover the outstanding payment he owes on his insurace? It was established in the episode Rich Hank, Poor Hank that Hank has an emergency credit card and could easily use that and would be covered immediately. His panic over not having insurance would outweigh any problems he might have with using his credit card and the fact that he is dealing with an insurance company there is no conceivable way they wouldn't accept a credit card or ask if he has a credit card to cover the payment. The mistake seems to be deliberate as it sets the story up for Hank going somewhat over the edge with protecting the house.

Even if he ignored the advice the chemicals would have at least incapacitated him or killed him.

Continuity mistake: When Papa is showing Buddy the sled at the beginning of the film we see the Clausometer (the middle odometer)and the indicator is pointing to the left at around 15 (9pm position). As Papa gets in the indicator is now pointing at around 35-40 (10pm position). Later in the scene when it show a closeup of the meter it is back to 15 and then the last shot of it its 35-40 on the meter. The changes are instantaneous between shots and there is not enough time for them to move that much.

Question: I have been trying to figure out how the death in the episode was linked to the suspect. Now I understand that being she was the housekeeper and that identifying the body would identify who she was and make him an likely suspect (he knew her, the secret bank accounts etc.) but how would that be enough to arrest him or even prosecute him for that matter? The body was not located on his property, there was no physical evidence that he killed her, he never made any incriminating statements and so on. The case seems far too circumstantial to be able to arrest him.

Deliberate mistake: As Monk is using the night vision goggles in his house the lights suddenly come back on and continues on still thinking that the intruder cannot see him. The light coming on should have blinded him or at the very least he should have been able to tell there was more light than before even if he hadn't had much experience using the goggles. All the lights in the house come back on and the amount of light would be too noticeable with night vision. This would have been deliberate as Monk continues to think the intruder still doesn't see him in the dark and is part of the joke in the scene.

Factual error: During the scenes where the Hills arrive at the airport in Japan, there is no flight crew outside or around the terminal when they exit. There doesn't seem to be any crew anywhere close, which seems particularly odd especially as Hank and Cotton manage to just stroll back onto the plane. A little after they leave the camera crew just go right through the terminal onto the plane without anyone there to stop them.

Plot hole: When Witwer invites Burgess over to discuss the problem of Anne Lively's murder, he gives Burgess Anderton's gun saying "We recovered that from Leo Crowe's hotel room", yet making no mention of why he is showing the gun. It makes no sense why he would bring the gun or give the gun to Burgess seeing as he would have to remove it from the evidence of the murder. There was no important evidence regarding the gun he would need to show Burgess and only seems to serve the plot (as Burgess uses the gun to kill Witwer at the end and the blame goes on Anderton). What complicates the matter further is that Witwer knows someone in the Pre-crime division was behind Anne Lively's murder, so to give a person who could very likely be involved in the murder a loaded gun seems a little risky and unnecessary. Trivia: After the disappointment many fans had with the Phantom Menace, a copy of the film appeared on the internet titled The Phantom edit and was found to have had around 20 minutes of footage edited from the film by a person calling themselves the phantom editor. Most of the footage that was deleted was primarily the unpopular Jar Jar Binks character, with his presence in the new edit kept to a minimum. Some believed the phantom editor was director Kevin Smith, who is a huge fan of Star Wars. I have noticed it in a few films and most recently Million Dollar Baby. In one shot I recall Clint Eastwood is standing in his office and Hilary Swank is training in the gym below him. Eastwood is in the right of frame and the left part of the frame shows Hilary Swank and both are in focus despite the large distance between each other. Is it some special camera filter they use? I noticed a little out of focus blur around the middle of the frame. If not how exactly do they achieve the effect?

Continuity mistake: After Peggy throws the tomato at King Philip you see it lands on the badge on his jacket. Most of the tomato lands about the top of his badge and seems to set on the top part. A few scenes later when Peggy is being put in the stocks for punishment you see Philip again and the stain has moved down the badge. Most notably the tomato stain looks larger and a large chunk of it has moved below the badge onto the shirt.

Deliberate mistake: When Susan falls through the floorboards of Mike's house she uses the nearby towel to try and get the dog Bongo to help her. If you watch at the different angles the position of the dog keeps changing. When it shows Susan from behind the dog is almost right next to her face and stepping on the towel. In the shots from in front of Susan the dog is nowhere near the towel or even in the shot. This mistake looks more deliberate as the front on shots of Susan, the dog would likely have blocked her face from the camera.

Whilst the frame could have been the backside when he pulled it out he never turned it over when handing it to her, and Marge never turned it around when looking at it.

Also, Hank was holding a beer before Cotton leaped onto the table and in the security monitor footage he has not put it down on the table and is not holding it as he puts both hands on his head.

After a while Hank finds Bobby and Bobby gives him the cover and Hank puts it right on. Sounds fine. The only problem is that Hank has to screw the cover back onto the stick shift but doesn't have to remove any part of the previous stick. When the train hit the car, Bobby puts the cover right in his pocket and it would have had a bit of the stick left in it, as he had to screw it on. Its unlikely Bobby would have removed the bit of stick inside it because when we see him pick it up there is no part of the stick he would have been able to grip to unscrew it from the cover.

Audio problem: When Buck is trying to frame Hank for the murder of Debbie, he uses a hidden tape recorder to try and incriminate Hank. However the tape recordings are not the same, as they don't match up with each other. In the scene he says, "Yes I was angry. Debbie threatened to tell my wife that we had sexual relations". Later on the Sheriff is playing the tape back to Hank and the tape says: "(Small Pause) Debbie threatened to tell my wife that we had sexual relations". The tape doesn't match up on a few things. First the second recording takes a quick second before Hank starts talking despite in the first recording he said "Yes, Yes I was angry. Debbie." and no pauses in between these lines. Secondly Buck says at the end of the first recording "I got all I need" immediately after Hank finishes speaking and then he stops recording. In the second recording after Hank finishes speaking the tape keeps playing but we don't hear Buck speak.

Even if the raccoon had sneaked in the box before or after they brought the cooler out without anyone looking I don't think the raccoon would have been able to get in and put the door back on.

Revealing mistake: After Ace loses the guys in the car chase who kidnap Dan Marino, Ace goes hurtling through the park in his car and smashes through a picnic table. Just before his car flips you can see his windshield is smashed but no holes through it. As the car flips over the bush there is a sizeable hole in the windshield on the drivers side. Its likely the hole was for the stunt driver to look through on the flip. Ace in his car has to keep his head out the window to see anything in front of him (because of the smashed windshield). On the flip the guy has his head in the car. Later on the hole has fixed itself. We see this as Ace is driving Dan Marino to the Superbowl the windshield is still smashed but no hole and throughout the film its made very clear Ace doesn't have the money to fix it up at any point. Revealing mistake: When Ace's car flips over you can see the left wheel is elevated over the bush. If you look closely there is a wooden plank there to help the car lift itself over the bush. The other mistake in the shot is that there is no conceivable way the bush would have flipped the car. Unless there was something very solid in front of the bush, the car would have just gone right through the bush. (00:52:05)

Continuity mistake: When Ace is talking to the dog in Roger Pedactors apartment (after his death), he picks up the dog when Einhorn approaches. As he is picking up the dog he places his left hand around the dogs neck. In the next split second shot his left hand is around the dog's body. (00:37:55)

Question: In the UK (Region 2) version of the film, the scene in which Ace pretends to be Hans the dolphin trainer was removed. Can anyone tell me the specific reason why it was removed? Also do any other versions around the world (notably US and Australian versions) remove the scene?

Question: When the Simpsons go on the TV show to try and explain themselves, what show was this a send up of where the guy speaks really loud? I believe it's a show from Fox News.

Question: What is the point of the Riddler stopping Harvey (Two-Face) from killing Bruce Wayne when they are in his mansion? They now know that Bruce Wayne is Batman and their goal all along was to kill Batman. Essentially I can understand they want to torture Bruce by kidnapping Chase, but it seems like a huge risk that they don't really need to take as Batman is very elusive and this was a prime opportunity to take him out.

There's No Disgrace Like Home - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: As Homer is carrying the TV towards the pawn shop in the first shot the left window is clear. There is then a tracking shot of the family walking and when they get in front of the store the window has writing on it saying Pawn Shop. The writing is in black and the next shot when they are talking the writing is now dark brown. (00:14:20)

Audio problem: Ms. Krabappel is telling Bart about the laundry list of sicknesses he had to get out of the test. You can see her mouth doesn't match up when she mentions "...and that unfortunate case of rabies." The studio actually changed what Ms. Krabappel originally said which was "and that unfortunate case of "Tourette's Syndrome." [Some reports say that the original line of Tourette's Syndrome was left in syndications in certain areas. On the DVD version the rabies line has been used]. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Peggy still finds insects over the tomatoes, she goes to show Hank one of the tomatoes. As she is showing the tomato it has around six or seven flies buzzing around it. The next shot shows Peggy from behind still holding the tomato, and you can see there is not one fly around the tomato anymore.

Self Defense - S3-E7

Audio problem: As the Stone and Schiff are watching the news report on the security camera tape the reporter has a voice over going whilst the tape is playing. Towards the end of the tape she is shown on TV and is doing a report on the case. You can see her lips don't come close to synching up with what she is saying. The piece was already airing on TV, so very doubtful the TV station missed the large discrepancy.
