Mommie Beerest - S16-E7

Trivia: When Homer sees Moe as the little bird in the cuckoo clock, it keeps repeating "cuckold" instead of its customary cuckoo call. Homer then asks, "Whats a cuckold?" The term is generally applied to a husband whose wife is sleeping with other men. Perhaps fitting, as Homer suspects her of having an affair.

Leapin' Lizards - S3-E4

Trivia: When Bulldog calls up Frasier and asks him if he can sing a bit, Frasier stars singing the Gilbert and Sullivan song "Three Little Maids from School" which of course leads to great embarrassment. In the episode "Cape Fear" from The Simpsons, Kelsey Grammar guest stars as Sideshow Bob and also has bad luck with Gilbert and Sullivan music. Bob gets badly injured after the family sings the Three Little Maids song. Later he is asked to sing the score from the HMS Pinafore and it foils his plan.

Hotel Rwanda (2004)

Trivia: In one scene Paul is listening to the radio and a broadcast of the debate about whether what was happening in Rwanda was considered genocide. During the conflict there was a news conference that was very similar to the one on the radio. One of the reasons that the US and UN would not label (or appear to label) the situation as genocide was that under legal obligations they would have had to act to prevent and punish the perpetrators if they said what was happening in Rwanda was genocide.

Hotel Rwanda (2004)

Trivia: The character of Col. Oliver (Nick Nolte) is partly based on that of Canadian Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire who led the UN peacekeeping efforts in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide. Some have criticised the makers of the film for portraying Dallaire as incompetent and unable to help in almost any way. Dallaire in the conflict despite having a shortage of soldiers, helped set up "safe zones" for Tutsis to escape from the Hutu militia. Dallaire's action have said to have saved around 20,000 from certain death.

Trivia: In the director's commentary, Luke Greenfield revealed that during the scene where Emile Hirsch is getting a lap dance in the strip club (the scene might have been removed in the theatrical version) they had to put about 4 pillows between Emile Hirsch and the stripper. This was due to the fact that Emile Hirsch was only 17 when the film was made and under child pornography laws he could not have a naked woman touch his body. (00:42:40)

Trivia: After the disappointment many fans had with the Phantom Menace, a copy of the film appeared on the internet titled The Phantom edit and was found to have had around 20 minutes of footage edited from the film by a person calling themselves the phantom editor. The new film proved to be very popular amongst many fans. Most of the footage that was deleted was primarily the unpopular Jar Jar Binks character, with his presence in the new edit kept to a minimum. Some believed the phantom editor was director Kevin Smith, who is a huge fan of Star Wars. After the popularity of the new edit, another edit was found nicknamed "The East Coast version" with its largest change being Jar Jar Binks' and the Gungans' speech, which was changed to scrambled alien dialogue with made up English subtitles for when they spoke.

The Simpsons (1989)

Trivia: In New Zealand when the show was being shown on the TV2 network, the Itchy & Scratchy cartoons over a period of time were continually edited to try and remove as much violent content from them as possible. However around 2000-2001 the network edited out every single Itchy & Scratchy cartoon making the cartoon almost non-existent in the show despite some of the cartoon's content not being as objectionable as the rest.
