Revealing: Right at the start when Harry is on his bed and making a light under his sheet, you can see that he is actually on something like a light panel in order for this effect to happen. For one thing, when he moves around on it, it doesn't bend like a mattress does. Also, about halfway down the bed you can just see where the sheet ends and this panel begins.

Continuity: When Aunt Marge's chair starts to float up, in the close-up of her legs, her feet are at least a foot off the ground and the chair even more. However, after her necklace pops, Vernon yells, "Down boy!" at Ripper, she lets go of the table and in the next wide shot, her feet are still well under the table and the chair is still touching the floor - this shot is spliced from the earlier shot, just after Ripper first bites Vernon's foot!

Continuity: When Harry gets on the Knight Bus, as he's stepping on, half of his jacket is wet (on the bottom) from falling on the wet pavement. Once he's on the bus, there's a quick shot of him from the back, and it is all dry.

Continuity: The cuts including the one with butterfly closures on Hermione's cheek and the scratches on Harry's cheek change position/characteristics in many shots throughout, even in consecutive shots.

Continuity: After Ron, Hermione and Harry run out of Hagrid's they hide behind the pumpkins, while the other Hermione and Harry look on as they hide behind trees. When Hermione comments about her hair, the tree branch she moves away is completely different between the shots facing her and the shots facing Hagrid's.

Continuity: When the jar is smashed in Hagrid's hut, the lid stays on the smashed jar, yet when Hermione picks up the stone which smashed the jar, there is a closeup of her hand holding the stone and you can see the lid of the jar on the table.

Continuity: After Harry opens the front door for Uncle Vernon and Aunt Marge, Vernon walks into the living room and Harry follows him. Harry stops before he walks over the door step, but when it cuts you can see he has crossed over it.

Continuity: When Harry unbuckles the belt around the Monster Book of Monsters, the belt lies open, across the bench. As the book chomps at Harry, in the shot behind Harry's feet the belt is curled up on the floor, to the side of the bench.

Continuity: When Harry is dragging Malfoy by his legs the snow on Malfoy's cloak change between the shots.

Continuity: When Harry falls backwards onto the pavement, after seeing Sirius the dog, in the shot facing Harry the trunk lies halfway up on the pavement. However, in the next shot as the Knight Bus nears, only the very top edge of the trunk leans on the pavement. Yet in following shots it is halfway up the pavement again.

Continuity: As Harry reaches Lupin's office, Lupin stands by the bookcase and the front end of the valise under the desk points towards the right. However, when Lupin says, "No, no, I resigned," the front end points the opposite way. Then when Harry walks to the doorway, it's the same way as the first shot.

Revealing: The first time the bus conductor shows Harry the newspaper with the picture of Sirius Black on the front, one of his fingers disappears "underneath" the moving picture for a split-second.

Continuity: When Vernon holds Marge's hands as she floats up, in the shot just before she yells, "Don't you dare!" Dudley stands behind Petunia with the napkin hanging from his collar. After she floats away screaming, in the close-up of Dudley the napkin stains differ and it now has a glob of white cream which he promptly wipes off and eats.

Continuity: As the Knight Bus stops outside the Leaky Cauldron we see Stan Shunpike fold the newspaper as Harry flies forward. When it cuts we see Stan Shunpike fold the newspaper again right before Harry hits the window.

Continuity: When Aunt Marge says "Actually, it's nothing to do with the father..." you see Aunt Petunia lift her right arm. When it cuts her arm is down.

Continuity: When Harry first reaches Lupin's office, as Lupin is packing, the Marauder's Map lies open on the desk. The map folds change position when Lupin says, "I saw you coming."

Continuity: At the dinner table when Aunt Marge says, "You wanna try a little drop of brandy?" to her dog, you see Harry carry some plates in the background. When the scene cuts, he is standing with different plates in his hand.

Continuity: In the Shrieking Shack, Snape enters the room brandishing his wand at Lupin and Black, and both Lupin and Black back away from Snape. Lupin and Black both lean back on the big piano that's in the room. Yet when the shot changes Lupin is still backing away from Snape, and neither Black or Lupin are in front of the piano, let alone leaning back on it.

Continuity: In the Leaky Cauldron, the Minister takes the lid off of a pot of pea soup. Yet after reprimanding Harry, he shakes Harry's hand and walks past the table, and you can see the lid is on the pot of pea soup. It isn't in any other shots.

Continuity: When Harry first meets the Minister of Magic in the Leaky Cauldron, and he is being reprimanded for running away "considering the state of things," the Minister places his hands on the back of a chair. His hands change position from shot to shot.
