Continuity: When Trelawney is done looking in Neville's cup and puts it down, you see Neville putting his hands on the table. When it cuts his hands aren't on the table.

Continuity: The position of the "little old lady at twelve o'clock" in comparison to the bus while she's crossing the street changes quite a few times.

Revealing: When Fred and George pass on the Marauder's Map to Harry, we see the map start to reveal itself. As it does Harry starts to read "Messrs Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs." Harry reads the word Messrs before it even appears on the page.

Revealing: When Mr Weasley is warning Harry about Black wanting to kill him there is a jug in the background supposedly magical because it is serving the drinks by itself. If you look closely you can see the wire or string or whatever held it up.

Continuity: When Harry attacks Malfoy, he pulls Crabbe's pants down. When Malfoy and Crabbe start to run up the hill, in one shot, Crabbe's pants are down by his ankles. In the very next shot, his pants are up near his waist and he wouldn't have had time to pull them up between shots.

Continuity: When Snape and Harry are in the hallway and Lupin shows up and Snape goes, "Well, well, Lupin," you see Harry in the background attempting to tuck away the Marauder's Map in his pocket. When Snape grabs for it, he reaches up more, as if Harry is holding it more by his shoulder.

Other: During the whomping willow scene, Hermione does indeed say Rupert, not Ron. She says it quickly, but I am not the only one who hears her say Rupert. She definitely does say Rupert. I just listened to it 3 times to make sure. [This may differ between versions - people are equally convinced on both sides.]

Revealing: While being hurled around by the Whomping Willow, Hermione grabs hold of Harry's shirt in the close-up. In the next shot as Harry's being lifted up, the bottom of the left side of his blue tee shirt is pinned to his pants, also visible in another shot.

Continuity: When Trelawney is looking in Neville's cup, a white cup is in front of a saucer on the table. When it cuts the cup has moved to the other side of the saucer.

Continuity: Harry moves closer to Snape at the Shrieking Shack, as he points his wand at the professor. In the first two shots Snape stands closer to the door, yet in the close-up as the spell hits he is farther from the doorway, so he can easily fly backwards for the stunt.

Continuity: At the end of the film when Harry gets on the Firebolt, everyone is running outside, and there is no crowd properly formed beside the water fountain, yet when Harry takes off there is a very large crowd watching him all of a sudden.

Continuity: When Harry picks up 'The Monster book of Monsters' you see him holding his right hand at the top at the book. When it cuts to a closeup of the book while he is holding it, you can see his hand is on the middle of the book. In the following shot his hand is on the top of it again.

Continuity: Outside Hagrid's, when Fudge says "We must search the grounds," the way Dumbledore holds his staff changes between shots.

Continuity: When Potter is looking at the 'Jack in the box' you can see Lupin in the background flipping his wand forward. When it cuts he has his hand and the wand behind his back.

Revealing: While he sits by the Whomping Willow, Ron shouts, "Harry, Hermione, run! It's the Grim!" When Sirius the dog runs toward them, in the shot facing Harry and Hermione, their eyes are not in sync with the dog before it leaps.

Continuity: When Aunt Marge is about to fly out the door, we can see Uncle Vernon leaning on the table with his back against the door and the dog biting his left foot. When it cuts to Aunt Marge coming out the door, we see Uncle Vernon facing the door and the dog is biting his right foot.

Continuity: When Potter is leaning over the bed watching the 'Monster Book of Monsters' on the floor when it goes back under the bed, we can see the sheets on the edge are fine. When it cuts they are crinkled.

Continuity: At the Leaky Cauldron, while Harry sits at the table speaking with Fudge, in two shots facing Harry the empty soup bowl is right beside the salt shaker, but in the rest of the shots there is a greater space between the two.

Continuity: As Vernon watches Marge float away, he is on his knees on the grass in the backyard, with Petunia beside him. Still on his knees as Vernon shouts, "Please!" in the shot from inside, his position on the grass is now centered with the door, so as to be visible for this shot.

Continuity: When Hermione and Harry go back, when they are at Hagrid's things lying in his front yard, such as the cauldron, wood, etc., change position in the following shots.
