Please note: Harry's scar does NOT change sides in the boggart scene - various shots in that scene are filmed in a mirror. Also, as with the other films, differences between the book and film aren't movie mistakes. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban book mistakes
Continuity: The second time Harry conjures the patronus charm to save Sirius and the other Harry from the dementers, Hermione is standing next to the tree behind him. The first time he uses it, his silhouette can clearly be seen from the other Harry's point-of-view from across the lake, but Hermione isn't next to the same tree, even though the spot she was standing is clearly visible.
Continuity: During the scene in which Uncle Vernon's sister Marge is turned into a balloon we see her floating out of the conservatory. A second before she is blown out the door we see from the shot looking into the conservatory that Aunt Petunia is to the right of the conservatory doors inside the dining room. When the shot changes, she is now standing in the doorway to the conservatory.
Continuity: When Uncle Vernon is pouring brandy to Aunt Marge we see Harry picking up a plate from the floor while holding two other plates in his left hand. When it cuts Harry is still holding the two plates, but something which appears as a napkin or something has appeared in his hand as well. You can see it sticking out between the plates. Whatever it is it wasn't there in the previous shot.
Continuity: When the Dursleys are in the dining room, the chair located near the telephone, on the kitchen counter, changes position throughout the scene. In some shots its back is right beside the phone, in others not, and then in other shots its back leans right up against the wall and in others it is positioned well away from the wall.
Continuity: At the Shrieking Shack, when Scabbers tries to run away, as he runs towards the small hole in the wall, the shape of the hole differs in the shot facing the rat's hind and the next shot facing Scabbers, just as he enters the hole. (Obviously before the hole enlarges to accommodate Peter.)
Continuity: During Hagrid's lesson, when Harry walks towards Buckbeak as Hagrid explains to Harry that he needs to wait for Buckbeak to bow back, etc., in the next shot a boy on the left of the screen drops his cloak to the ground. In the next shot of the students, the boy has it on his arm again, but in the next shot as Harry bows, it's on the ground once again.
Continuity: In the DADA class, when Lupin puts the needle on the horn gramophone disc to start the music, the position of his hand and the needle in the close-up differs greatly than in previous and following shots. Throughout the scene the gramophone and its horn's position differ in consecutive shots as well.
