Continuity: After the Weasley's have handed over the Marauder's Map to Potter, George puts his wand on the Map while saying, "I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good." After Hermione tosses Beaky the second ferret, in the shot facing her she takes hold of one of the two hanging on the rope, on her left and dangles it, yet in the next wide shot she dangles both ferrets, in her hand. Continuity: When the ghost comes through the window on his horse we see him riding into the hall before the headless ghost comes through the window and pursues the first ghost. Then it cuts from inside the hall and we see the first ghost come through the door again. By this time it should be the second ghost coming through the door, not the first. Continuity: When Stan Shunpike begins, "Welcome to the Knight Bus emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard...," in Harry's close-up the lamppost is directly behind Harry. Continuity: At the hotel, when Harry tries to catch the Monster Book of Monsters, a train passes and some wood powder falls from the ceiling but when Harry steps on the book, there's no more trace of powder on the floor. Continuity: In Hagrid's hut, Hagrid gets something from a cage, and then he tosses it for his creature to eat. If you look closely, you'll see Hagrid *accidently* throws the item over the creature, nowhere near its mouth, yet in the following closeup the item is still flying towards the creature's mouth, and the creature gobbles it up contently! Continuity: As Harry approaches Lupin's desk, the open trunk is visible to his left, near the window. When Lupin tucks his belongings away in his trunk, items such as the books are positioned differently. (Time) Submitted by Rikki

Continuity: When Harry is about to pass out and says "Sirius", he says it in two breaths (Siri-us). The second time, when Harry and Hermione are watching this same exact scene occur in time, he says it in one breath (Sirius).

Factual error: When Harry is beating up Malfoy and the two Slytherin boys in front of the Shrieking Shack, he grabs one of them by his scarf and rotates him around. The center of their revolutions should be at the end of the scarf (where Harry grabs it), but as there is no actual counterweight for the boy he has to balance only his own body, which moves the center of his revolution strongly towards him. However, in the wide shot when Lupin explains that he resigned, the chair is much further away. Then after Lupin leaves, when Harry walks towards the door, the chair is beside the desk again. Continuity: In Lupin's office, the chair, vase on the floor, etc., between the window and fireplace significantly change positions. Noticeable when Lupin says, "This time tomorrow the owls will start arriving..." then continues, "Dumbledore has already risked enough on my behalf," to the close-up when he magically packs his belongings in the trunk and thereafter.
