Trivia: To help promote the movie "Jason Takes Manhattan", Kane Hodder appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show as Jason. He remained in character the whole time and never spoke.
Trivia: Jensen Daggett was genuinely terrified when actor Kane Hodder pulled her towards him, through the porthole. This is because a huge shard of glass was right by her throat and Kane was unknowingly pulling her toward it. You can see the frightened look on her face. (00:53:25)
Trivia: In the original script, after making it to the docks, a dog would appear and start barking at Jason prompting Jason to kick it. Kane Hodder refused and even stated that as evil as Jason was, he'd never hurt an animal, so the scene was dropped.
Trivia: Interesting note. The cook that Jason threw into the mirror at the diner is Ken Kirzinger, who went on to play Jason Vorhees in the movie "Freddy Vs Jason."
Trivia: The shot of Jason "undrowning" - so to speak - at the end of the film, with water gushing from his mouth, was accomplished thanks to Kane Hodder's uncanny ability to vomit on cue. Prior to the shoot, Hodder downed a pitcher of water.
Trivia: The original script had many more scenes set in New York City. Jason would have attacked people in several iconic locations, including Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. But budget limitations meant the majority of scenes set in New York had to be cut out. Writer/Director Rob Heddon has lamented this fact and has said he agrees with fans being disappointed that so little of the film is set in New York.
Trivia: The original poster for the film had Jason ripping through an "I Love New York" poster. They had to remove the poster from theaters and change it quickly, due to complaints from the New York Tourism Committee.
Trivia: Despite the film's title, Jason is only in Manhattan for ten minutes.
