Plot hole: When Eddie finds the hammer that killed Cousin Jim, Rosemary and Laura are on his tail, so he rushes to the river, and so does Martin and the constable. Problem is: Eddie and the girls are on one side of the river and Martin and the constable are on the other side of a river that is impossible to cross where they are - there are bridges, but not there. So, if Martin and the constable were heading for the hammer, why did they go to the wrong side of the river? It's all very dramatic, as Eddie has to dive into the water, but it's ridiculous, plot-wise.kh1616
Factual error: When Rosemary finds Mr Teed's dead body, the kettle is boiling. It's the type that will keep boiling until someone turns off the stove or takes it off the heat; neither of these things happen, and yet, before the scene is finished, the kettle stops making that boiling sound.kh1616
Audio problem: Near the end, Suzanne puts the dishwasher on, which is in the kitchen, near the long kitchen table they are all sitting around. At first, we can hear the dishwasher, not very loudly but it's there, but when they expose Suzanne as the killer, the dishwasher is all but silent even though its been running for at most 10 minutes, so it should still be noisy.kh1616
Continuity mistake: When Laura finds the hammer with blood and hair on it, Rosemary finds the constable and tells him where the hammer is. When we first see the constable's car, it's in a ditch. But when he gets into it and drives away, it's no longer in the ditch, but beside the road.kh1616
