Continuity mistake: When Ellie's mom wraps the scarf around her neck it's fairly short, barely reaching over her shoulder. The shot changes and suddenly the scarf is twice as long, reaching well down her body and way over her shoulder.

Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence's previous show, Scrubs, featured main characters Dr. John "JD" Dorian, Dr. Elliot Reid, and Dr. Christopher Turk, all doctors working at Sacred Heart Hospital. They all worked for the Chief of Medicine Dr. Bob Kelso, played by Ken Jenkins. Jenkins plays Jules' dad, Chick, on Cougar Town.
