Continuity mistake: Annie splashes Jeff in the face with a drink and she asks for two more, with Jeff still having water dripping on his face. He shouts "enough!" and suddenly his face is much drier in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: Britta points out that Pierce keeps his dad's bow tie on his night stand. A few moments later, after Jeff finishes opening up and walks away, the bow tie on the night stand has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: After Alan tells Jeff that he turned him in to the state bar, he gets up and Jeff thanks him. Two quick shots later he is impossibly close to the door.

Continuity mistake: Troy and Britta are spying on the school behind a hedge through binoculars. When Annie pops up, Troy sets them down. As the camera cuts between Britta and Annie to Troy, the binoculars disappear and reappear.

Continuity mistake: As Jeff makes his way to the podium to say a few words about Star-Burns, Pierce is sitting next to him with his hands on a table. Light applause breaks out and in the next shot, Pierce's hands are raised up near his face as he's about to clap.

Continuity mistake: When Jeff begins crying with his head down on his text book, Britta attempts to comfort him. She touches his hand and he swats it away, but in the next shot his hand is gripping the pages of his textbook.
Virtual Systems Analysis - S3-E16
Continuity mistake: When Annie is talking to Abed in the study room, next to Troy and Britta, the Dean's "Puttin' On The Ritz" cane is leaning against some books, towards the right. When the Dean comes back in to claim it, it is leaning towards the left.
Audio problem: Jeff summons Abed and Troy to meet together, saying "this has to stop," to which Abed replies "tell him." But the audio was cut abruptly at the start of his sentence and we can only hear "ell him."

Continuity mistake: Professor Hickey is rolling up a newspaper in front of him, when the camera cuts away and then back, it is flat against the table. (00:02:00)

Continuity mistake: When Jeff and Pierce are having a glass of whiskey, Pierce makes a toast and Jeff replies "To the irony of that sentence." After he says this, Jeff puts his glass back on the table and Pierce lowers his glass, but doesn't put it back on the table. In the next shot, Pierce's glass is suddenly on the table. (00:09:35)

Continuity mistake: We know from this episode that Pierce's father is alive, but at the beginning of episode 1-7 Pierce's mother is on the other end of the phone and speaks about seeing his father's "ghost," as if his father has passed away. (00:02:00)
Suggested correction: Pierce explains in a later episode that his mother liked to believe that his father was dead.
That's not a proper connection. Her "liking to believe" his father was dead is not her literally thinking he's dead- she just wishes he was dead. So she should know enough to know she couldn't have been seeing his ghost. It's a mistake because they decided to write Pierce's father into the show on a later date.
Continuity mistake: After Abed shares his film, his dad leaves the room. Abed raises his arm and points to his dad. The camera cuts to a different view of Abed and he raises his arm again. (00:19:00)
