The Night of the Turncoat - S3-E13

New today Factual error: Artemus Gordon is standing in the train car throwing plastic darts. Plastic wasn't invented then, it would have been natural feather.

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Revealing mistake: The scar makeup on Montgomery's face begins peeling off as he is giving his speech.

Scott215

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: West and Gordon are being chased by members of the Legion, who wear green uniforms and black hats, but the stock footage of the chase shows the blue uniforms of regular U.S. Cavalry troopers.

Scott215

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: The stock footage of West and Gordon being chased in the wagon by the Legion soldiers shows eight troopers, but other scenes show only four.

Scott215

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: West sprinkles a thin line of powder into a circular shape surrounding him, but before the powder ignites and burns through the floor, it is thicker and has a wider circumference.

Scott215

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: The stock footage of the wagon West is driving has a large opening in the front of the canopy as he is being chase down by the horsemen, but the close ups of West driving show a much smaller canopy on the wagon.

Scott215

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: Stock footage of the wagon West drives to escape the horsemen shows a team of four horses, but the closer scenes show a team of only two horses pulling the wagon.

Scott215

The Night of the Legion of Death - S3-E12

New this month Continuity mistake: The long shots of the wagon West is driving shows it being chased by the horsemen in moonlight, lighting up the terrain showing trees, rocks, and scrub, but the close up of West driving shows nothing but blackness in the background.

Scott215

The Night Dr. Loveless Died - S3-E4

Visible crew/equipment: The arm of the actual carriage driver is visible poking through the back of the carriage, slapping the horse and signaling it when to stop/proceed with a second set of reins, showing the actor in the carriage was not controlling the horse at all.

The Night Dr. Loveless Died - S3-E4

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, a cowboy sitting atop the balcony above Big Brad's Bar gets up and approaches the balcony's edge twice.

The Night of the Bubbling Death - S3-E1

Revealing mistake: As West drags the body of a bad guy out of the scene, the supposedly unconscious man is holding his head up so as not to have his head dragged through the dirt. A truly unconscious person's head would flop back on to the ground.

The Night of Jack O'Diamonds - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: As West lowers himself down the face of the cliff with his hand-held rappelling tool, West does not have a safety harness attached until a few shots later, then the safety harness disappears.

The Night of the Arrow - S3-E16

Factual error: The soldiers toss Artemus into the cell, slam the door and walk away. But they never produce a key or lock the cell door. He's somehow locked in anyway, though. (00:24:30)

The Night of the Circus of Death - S3-E9

Factual error: At the mint, Arte hides in a broom closet. He carries nothing in (nor did he hide anything in there beforehand), yet he emerges later in an "old man" disguise, wearing a wig, hat, mustache, false nose, glasses and janitor costume. Magic closet? (00:35:00)

The Night of the Underground Terror - S3-E19

Factual error: The small round table in West's railcar parlor has a flip-over top, with secret maps hidden on the underside. The wine decanter and glasses all stay attached when it flips. But impossibly, when West turns the tabletop back over at the end, there's a full cup of coffee sitting on it. (00:48:30)

The Night of the Bubbling Death - S3-E1

Factual error: The skeletons in the dungeon hanging from shackles and standing upright in cages would have been piles of bones on the ground due to cartilage and tendons decaying, which hold bones together.

Scott215

The Night of the Bubbling Death - S3-E1

Revealing mistake: West and Gordon burn a perfect circle (unlikely in and of itself) in the metal floor in order to break into the dungeon below. West punches the circle out with his fist, then grasps what should be white-hot edges with his bare hands before jumping through the opening. Even if wood it would still be too hot to touch. The Night of Montezuma's Hordes - S3-E8

Continuity mistake: West has a different hairstyle as it is parted down the middle when he is fighting outside the Nugget Saloon. In the inside fight and throughout this episode, there is no part in his hair - with the only exception of this outside fight. (00:13:30)

The Night of the Death-Maker - S3-E24

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of this episode when West gets into the casket, the width of the head area is wider than the foot area of the casket. There are only two circular hand grips on a side. When the two monks are carrying it to the furnace, the casket is symmetrically shaped with the head and foot areas being the same width, and there are three round hand grips on the side. Right before the third freeze frame when the monks are in front of the furnace, the casket is back to the original shape with the head area wider than the foot area.

The Night of the Amnesiac - S3-E22

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, West is shot and falls off the stage coach. He falls to the ground with both arms stretched out horizontally. As the stage coach leaves, his left arm is positioned along side his body. One of the villains throws West's hat, and it lodges between his left hand and body. When West is found unconscious, the hat is resting on his left shoulder.
