Question: I need to know in which season and episode of House the following monologue took place. A dying patient is lying in bed and complaining about the chaplain who came by to visit him. The patient says that he wants to see a hell-fire and brimstone preacher, someone who believes in judgement and Hell, and who won't deny all the rotten things he'd done in life.

Question: In the last episode of Season 1 (Honeymoon) towards the beginning when House first asks for a diagnosis from the other 3 doctors, he asks something along the lines of "Have I missed anything?" after he explains what to do. After he says that Dr. Chase says "Kitchen sink" House starts to say something then stops and says "Oh, you minx" What did Chase mean when he said kitchen sink?

Chosen answer: It comes from the phrase "Everything but the kitchen sink." He's saying that House has thought of "everything but the kitchen sink."

Question: What kind of hospital does Dr. House work in?

Answer: A teaching hospital is a type of hospital, but it would be somewhat similar to a general hospital since they're not specialized in one area. Besides the ER, surgery, and ICU, the hospital contains various other departments, including a psychiatry department.

Bishop73

Answer: It would be considered a non-profit hospital run as a charity. It's also affiliated with a medical school and is a teaching hospital, although which college it is affiliated was never mentioned.

Bishop73

I meant does he work in mental hospital, or a general hospital.

Mistakes

House is playing 'Metroid: Zero Mission' on his Gameboy at various times. The Metroid series does not feature space monkeys, nor are there distinct levels. The sounds coming from the game in the show do not match it in real life, and Samus morphing into a ball is most definitely not a failure state.

Trivia

Hugh Laurie auditioned for the role as Dr. Gregory House in his hotel room bathroom in Namibia. He was rehearsing his role for the film The Flight of the Phoenix and claimed that the bathroom was the only place with enough light. He also apologized for his appearance on tape before the audition as he'd just come back from filming. The fact that House has a somewhat scruffy and unkempt look, particularly his constant five o'clock shadow, has been attributed by creator David Shore to Laurie's appearance in this audition tape.
