Ode to Barbara Joan [aka Daddy Dearest] - S1-E20
Max: Tell you what. What you say I get us some box seats to opening day at Shea stadium, and you'll see how the pros do it.
Brighton: Well at least the Mets.
Continuity mistake: When Fran's date Jack first enters the house, Fran closes the door behind him. A couple of shots later, the door is open and Fran is closing it again.
Trivia: At the end of the show, Fran and The Gym Teacher, played by Rita Moreno, are discussing Fran's high school boyfriend. Moreno's lines in the scene are from the song "A boy like that" that her character Anita sang in the 1961 movie West Side Story.
Question: What does she even do? The kids are too old for a nanny.
Answer: Mr. Sheffield needed someone to manage the kids, not necessarily babysit them. Brighton was a Bart Simpson type, Maggie was shy and awkward and Gracie had personality issues.
