Correction: The many times we have seen Xena apply the pinch, we always hear her say "I've just cut off the blood to your brain - you have 60 seconds". So 58 seconds is quite safe.
Correction: The Amazon most likely read about it in one of Gabrielle's scrolls which documented her adventures with Xena. In numerous episodes we see that her scrolls are widely read and discovered across the timeline. For example: Season 3 'The Quill Is Mightier' Aphrodite is upset at their popularity, Season 5 'Succession' Mavican mentions she picked one up a while back, Season 2: 'The Xena Scrolls' they are present in the 1940's and even modern times and Season 5' Looking Death in the Eye' Joxer discovers a fella selling on in the pub 25 years later and Season 6 'Legacy' we find that 25 or so years later there are people still reading her scrolls.
