The Girl From Auntie - S4-E17

Factual error: The bad guys are supposedly auctioning off the stolen Mona Lisa. But they and their prospective buyers aren't very art savvy. The painting is more than twice the size of Da Vinci's actual masterpiece. (00:44:50)

Too Many Christmas Trees - S4-E13

Continuity mistake: When Steed and Emma are driving to the estate, the car's windscreen keeps disappearing. It's there in full shots, gone in close-ups, and reappears again every time we cut back to a long shot. (00:10:30)

The Decapod - S2-E3

Revealing mistake: In the midst of Steed's conversation with the wrestling referee, the camera loses focus and suddenly whip-pans away when it shouldn't. The actors continue their lines as the camera comes quickly back and refocuses on them. (00:19:45)

The Town of No Return - S4-E1

Continuity mistake: When Steed, Mrs Peel and their travelling companion Mr Smallwood arrive at the pub, it is pitch black. However, when Smallwood leaves a few minutes later to go and visit his brother, it is fairly light again. All subsequent shots of him outside continue to be well lit, whilst in the shots looking out from the pub it is dark.

The Gravediggers - S4-E2

Revealing mistake: When Steed comes out from hiding behind the spiral staircase and wall, the rim of his hat touches the wall, which wobbles, revealing a fake wall. It's very noticeable, because there is a shadow cast from the staircase to the wall where you can see it moving.

Bullseye - S2-E4

Revealing mistake: The secretary turns on the tape recorder to play back her employer's dictation. His voice starts speaking, but the tape reels aren't turning, and the button she pushed hasn't stayed depressed. Apparently, the machine isn't even on. (00:01:20)

Murdersville - S5-E23

Continuity mistake: When Mrs Peel is driving her friend the Major to Storping in the Swuff her top changes from a light purple colour to red a few times depending on the camera angle. (00:09:00)

You Have Just Been Murdered - S5-E21

Continuity mistake: The money boxes Steed is stacking at the end keep changing positions between shots. And though they're supposed to be full of half-penny coins, the ease with which he lifts and carries them makes it obvious that they're empty. (00:49:00)

The Girl From Auntie - S4-E17

Continuity mistake: Steed tosses his opponent over his shoulder during the scuffle. The man lands on his back with his right hand extended over his head. But when the shot cuts to a different angle, both his arms are instantly down at his sides instead. (00:38:25)

The 50,000 Pound Breakfast - S5-E19

Continuity mistake: The clock showing London time is 12.15 when Emma is captured. Shortly after, the ticker timer goes off, it looks like almost 5 or 6 o'clock. But the ticker message is timed at 12.15. A short time later, after the escape, it shows 10.40.

Game - S6-E2

Continuity mistake: When the butler shows up at Steed's apartment to kidnap Tara, they fight and her culottes are unfolded at the knee. After he has knocked her out and put the last jigsaw pieces in the puzzle, he goes to pick her up to carry her out, and her culottes have been folded up at the knees with no way for that to have happened.

The Winged Avenger - S5-E6

Plot hole: The bad guy somehow knows what is going to happen (via the sketches) even though the events haven't happened yet, like knowing Mrs Peel was going to show up at Pool's mansion in that catsuit and hat, and that the scenes were going to play out like the sketches.

False Witness - S6-E7

Continuity mistake: When Steed is waiting to catch Mother's special bus. Steed has parked his car fully in the road and by a bus stop sign. As the bus arrives and parks at the kerb, Steed's car has vanished - the bus would otherwise have collided with it.

mr perry

The Forget-Me-Knot - S6-E1

Continuity mistake: After being hit by the amnesia dart, Steed falls unconscious with his bowler hat still on his head. But when the enemy agent approaches and shoots him again, his hat is off and he's lying in a completely different position. (00:21:00)
