Stupidity: Like most dilemmas on the show, the controversy could have been resolved by witchcraft without Darrin knowing. Why didn't Samantha just twitch a duplicate tweed coat?

Stupidity: Samantha could put a spell on Larry and Louise to stall for time. She could freeze them or make them uninterested in Jonathan until Clara remembers her spell.

Stupidity: When Samantha realises how upset Darrin is because she gave away his "tweedy" coat, why wouldn't she have just "zapped" him another identical one? She is a witch after all. She zaps up a lot of other convenient things.

Continuity mistake: Before this episode (and after as well) Darrin and Samantha give their address as 1164 Morning Glory Circle, however in this episode, when Darrin slams the door, the '9' in 192 on their address spins around to make 162, hence the angry neighbor at 162 saying that his grass was installed at the Stevens' by mistake.

Trivia: Because Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha, was ill, her fraternal twin sister Diane took her place in this episode. Question: In one episode (not sure which one but it was in the Dick York era), Darrin was arguing with Samantha and said something like "Confiding in a woman is like broadcasting by Telstar." What exactly does that mean and what was Telstar?

Answer: Telstar was an early communications satellite system. Darrin, in a particularly sexist manner reflective of this era, is saying that telling a secret to a woman means it is guaranteed to be "broadcasted" to multiple people.
