Character mistake: During Wakaouji's flashback, if he really picked the picture from his breast pocket the way it is depicted, then the picture he showed to the captain was upside down. Would be kinda hilarious, but I don't think that is what the animators were going for. (00:16:35)

Continuity mistake: Kindaichi and Kenmochi run to find out why everyone is gathered on the deck. There is a very distinct shadow of the railing in the wide angle, but in the close-up of the suicide note and shoes there is barely any. (00:18:00)

Continuity mistake: The first minutes of the episode are a dream sequence and normal logic may not apply. However, when Miyuki disappears, her drink is still there in the first shot, gone from the table in the wide shot, it is there again in close-up. That seems like an ordinary mistake, it's not as if Kindaichi is noticing Miyuki's disappearance AND a ghost lemonade mysteriously blinking in and out of existence. (00:03:00)
