In the shot of him putting the list in his pocket, both his left hand (holding onto the jacket) and his right hand (putting the list into his pocket) are level with each other. In the next shot, someone walks into the room and his hands don't change position. When the shot cuts back to Eugene, his left hand is much lower down than the right. (00:02:25)
Continuity mistake: When the general shoots the elderly rebel, there is a huge blood stain left on his clothes where the left-hand side of his upper chest is located. When he collapses on the ground in the next shot, the blood stain has suddenly disappeared from his clothing. (01:13:23)
Continuity mistake: When Eugene is hiding inside the rickshaw after being rescued by the rebels, just as he says "She's injured", he is shown holding a gun, but his fingers are not placed on the magazine. Continuity mistake: Eugene is leaving the American legation in Japan by sitting on the back of a truck. In the shot of him sitting down, the bottom of his jacket can be seen going over the side of the truck (positioned behind him). Continuity mistake: When Hina is sword fighting with the Japanese soldier, and he slips over, in the overview shot, he is shown dropping his sword. When they go to help him up a few seconds later, the sword is now in his hand. (00:16:48)
Continuity mistake: When Moore is speaking with Minister Allen about continuing the investigation into Joseph's death, just after he finishes saying "It was a missionary who died", Allen can be seen lowering his hands. Continuity mistake: When Hina is talking with the hotel employee, in the shot where the employee says "The rickshaws bumped into each other", she is holding a cigarette at a vertical angle. Continuity mistake: When Eugene begins eating the piece of paper, in one shot some of the paper can still be seen outside his mouth. Continuity mistake: Whilst Hina and Leo are fencing together, the match ends with Hina pressing her sword against his chest. The sword can be seen bending when she does this, but when Leo starts saying "Whoa, whoa, whoa", the sword is at a straight angle. (01:01:51)

In the shot where the worker walks up to them, the bottle shown towards the right side of the tray is in a position where the label is facing towards Hina.
