I watched this show on Netflix.
I think it was my former friend, Tim, that introduced me to this show. Back before we had our falling out.
and I'm glad he did. Usually, a show like this wouldn't really interest me. Yet this one hooked me. I loved every season and all the characters. Fun, enthralling, and still leaves me wanting more. I know Season 5 was the end of the series but I wish there was more and it continued with the rest of her life.
The mix of the furry anime characters with Death Metal in a slice of life office job in Japan with Japanese culture and customs... just somehow works!
Love the show, love the characters, love the kick ass music.
It's a must watch!
Mistake Status: I had caught a few in my first watch early on but was too into the show to study closely, and I think I finished the show after I had started my indefinite hiatus from this site when "life" decided to happen. But I do plan to revisit this show and look for more mistakes. It's too fun of a show not to.
Continuity mistake: At the diner when Tsunoda and Retsuko are talking, Tsunoda pulls out a red phone with a white heart on it from her purse. In the close up she is pulling it out with her left hand and the phone is horizontal with the heart on its side. It then cuts to a wide angle and suddenly she's holding the phone upright with both hands.
A Day in the Life of Retsuko - S1-E1
Retsuko: Oh, hey! I'm Retsuko. This is my very first day of work, and I couldn't be more excited about it! The things I'm gonna learn, the people I'll meet, a childhood of hopes and dreams, have all lead to this moment! From now on, I'm gonna reach for the stars! The sky's the limit!
[Retsuko leaps into the air, then falls and snaps her ankle.]
Retsuko:... RRAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGEEEEE!
