Corrected entry: When the Jupiter blows up, the explosion is red, but in the next episode when Will is trying to contact John, he asks Penny and Judy asking if the explosion was red, and they say no.

Continuity mistake: Penny is holding an envelope in her hands, then turns around to follow the siblings and the envelope is gone. Just a cut later Penny has the envelope back. (00:32:30)

Penny Robinson: Just so I'm clear, we spent the night in what is essentially an alien toilet?
Trivia: The character June Harris assumes Dr. Smith's identity. The series' producers gave June the last name of Harris to honor Jonathan Harris, the actor who portrayed Dr. Smith on the original TV show. Her first name is a tribute to June Lockhart, who played Maureen Robinson.
Question: If only the Resolution was able to do galactic travel, then how was Fortuna able to do the same?
Answer: The Fortuna didn't have an Alien Engine. The cover story was the Fortuna was to explore Alpha Centauri but it was exploring the rift. The rift is what the Alien Engine creates and explains how the Fortuna was able to travel to a distant planet (what you call "galactic travel").
