Other mistake: Before the Seals went on their counter-sniper operation they were briefed that the enemy snipers were going to be using SVD-63 Dragunov's which have a range of 800m. The two enemy snipers who were killed never had Dragunov's, they had standard bolt action type rifles without suppressors, hard to identify a specific brand. They engaged the Seals from a distance with unsuppressed weapons over a crowd of people and the crowd didn't hear a thing. This is a falsity, a 7.62mm shot can be heard for 3km. Answer: Yes. They would have to land 3-4 times for refuelling. The plane could fly with the wheels down, but the additional drag slows the plane and increases fuel consumption.
