A View to a Kill (1985)

Factual error: Bond and Stacy jump across the 3rd street bridge in the firetruck in the dead of night. When they arrive at Main Strike Mine it is as if they have been driving for a long time. However it is clear that they are close to town - and San Andreas Lake is only 12 miles south of the 3rd street bridge. (01:34:00)

A View to a Kill (1985)

Factual error: When Zorin blows the explosives on the train in the mine tunnel, the tunnel collapses, letting the water from San Andreas Lake in. However that would not have generated a huge water column on the surface of the lake. That could only happen with a bomb in the water, not deep below the lake bed. (01:46:20)

Continuity mistake: If a diving tank were perforated under water there would be a big 'explosion' from the release of compressed air. No such thing happens when Bond throws his tank into the propeller blade. (01:01:40)

A View to a Kill (1985)

Continuity mistake: Bond's air tank is perforated on the middle after he has thrown it into the propeller blade. But it would have been hit in the end, not in the middle, after being pushed into a fast spinning blade. (01:01:30)

A View to a Kill (1985)

Factual error: Zorin throws a 2 liter bottle of gasoline on the elevator in which Bond and Stacy are trapped. The fire from gasoline is nowhere near hot enough to melt a steel elevator cable. (01:26:30)

A View to a Kill (1985)

Continuity mistake: When the Rolls sinks its back end is pointing upwards; the front end going down in a steep angle. But when Bond is getting out of it and gets air from the tires it is upside down. And the surface is not far away. It is impossible that it could have turned over. (00:51:10)

Suggested correction: Actually it's entirely possible. The very last seconds where the back bumper is visible the car is completely vertical. Similar to the stern of the Titanic. As the cur goes under it could easily just drift backwards and end up on its roof.

A View to a Kill (1985)

Revealing mistake: When Bond and Ivanova are at the Japanese spa, steam is coming from somewhere in front of the water, not from the water itself. (01:05:10)
