Return to Oz (1985)

Trivia: Here are some interesting tidbits about where some of the aspects of the movie came from, which is a compilation of the books following the first. Jack Pumpkinhead, the Powder of Life, the Gump, Mombi, Ozma (Tip) and the escape off the top of the roof all come from 'The Marvelous Land of Oz'. The multiple heads angle, the Gnome King's Nick-Nack game, the chicken coop, Billina, and Tik-Tok all come from 'Ozma of Oz'. The tunnel under the Deadly Desert that Mombi uses to get to the Gnome King seems to come from 'The Emerald City Of Oz'.

American Pie (1999)

Trivia: In an interview just after this movie was released Jason Biggs said that in the famous "Pie Humping" scene the director originally had Jim jumping up on the counter and screwing the pie missionary style and then when his father walked in him getting surprised and falling off the counter. They filmed Jim doing both. However, the counter version didn't seem as funny or as practical as the released version. The counter version is available on some DVD versions.

Trading Places (1983)

Trivia: When Randolph and Mortimer Duke are telling Valentine about the stock market they say something meant as a joke and Eddie Murphy looks directly at the camera. Eddie Murphy says in the commentary that he had done that so many times on SNL that it became habit for him when someone would make a sarcastic joke to look at the camera.

A Few Good Men (1992)

Trivia: A Few Good Men was based loosely on an incident which involved a group of soldiers performing a hazing act on a recruit by the order of their platoon commander. The recruit nearly died, and it wasn't until the commander finally confessed in court that the soldiers were let off. This is confirmed by the director commentary.
