The Number 23 (2007)

Corrected entry: When Jim Carrey is reading the chapter written on the motel wall explaining how he blocked it out of his memory, how did it get written or be able to tell the future?

EJT501

Correction: The chapter written on the wall is not telling the future. It is Walter's confession to murdering his girlfriend which was shown as a flashback. He was wracked by guilt so he wrote down everything that happened and after he was done, he jumped out of the window intent on killing himself. Instead, he survived the fall but when he hit the pavement, his head was critically injured resulting in him getting amnesia and not remembering anything about what happened.

Corrected entry: When Elizabeth has burned all the barrels of rum, she tells Jack, "That signal is over 1000 feet high", but the problem is it's the 1700's, she's British and the British don't use English measurements, they use metric. (01:39:15)

EJT501

Correction: (1) The metric system was introduced in France in 1791, a mere half-century after the setting of the films. (2) Even today, the UK uses Imperial measurements just as much as metric. (3) If you think about your submissions in advance, you might be able to avoid statements as ludicrous as "the British don't use English measurements".

Watchmen (2009)

Corrected entry: On Veidt's TV wall, one of things he's watching is First Blood 2. Now if because of Manhattan's arrival in the war we won Vietnam, then First Blood would never have been written, and thus never filmed, i.e. no sequel.

EJT501

Correction: If our universe can have mediums depicting fictitious endings to the Vietnam War (i.e Watchmen), it stands that the universe presented in Watchmen can have their own "alternate" takes on the war as well (i.e Rambo).
