A Wrinkle in Time (2018)
Question: Why don't we see Calvin stand up to his abusive father and why does he abuse him?
Answer: Because the movie isn't about Calvin, but Meg and her family. Seeing Calvin stand up to his father would be going off on a tangent. As for the reason for the abuse, who can say? Some people are just jerks.

A Wrinkle in Time (2018)
Question: Are Meg and Veronica friends at the end of the movie?
Answer: No, but with Meg understanding Veronica's self-image issues and Veronica seeing that popular boy Calvin obviously thought highly of Meg, maybe they won't be so antagonistic to each other.

Question: When Meg returns with her father, did she still have to write apology letters to Principal Jenkins and Veronica?
Answer: With Meg's father returning after four years, her mother probably had other things on her mind than Meg's punishment. But with all Meg had learned about kindness and love, she might have decided to write the letters anyway.

Family Guy (1999)
Question: Why does the show on occasion mention that it never won an Emmy when it's thus far received 10 nominations and 3 wins?
Answer: In the context, when talking about "Family Guy" winning an Emmy, it's about winning based on the merits of show itself, not just the work put into making the show. The Emmys "Family Guy" has won are for "outstanding voice over", "achievement in animation", or "sound mixing." Whereas, shows like "Modern Family" won Emmys for Outstanding..."comedy series", "lead actor", "supporting actor/actress", "writing", and "directing." There was a joke in the episode about what they were doing was so bad they owe back an Emmy, acknowledging they have won Emmys, just not the ones they're striving for.

Question: I get that Meg is in trouble for hitting Veronica in the face with a basketball, but why isn't Veronica in trouble for leaving a mean note on Meg's locker and calling her brother crazy?
Answer: Could be a matter of severity. Hitting someone in the face with a basketball could result in someone being permanently injured or disfigured, possibly even blinded. Leaving mean notes and calling someone crazy is far less serious and might not warrant being punished other than a mild reprimand.

Peter Rabbit (2018)
Question: How is it that Thomas can understand what the rabbits are saying as shown in the make-up scene and no other human can?
Answer: It's not clear if he actually can hear them or not. It's implied in the film that it's possibly stress or a mental break that is causing him to hallucinate their voices, or is suddenly thinking on a brain wave length that can understand them. If it's the former, it's coincidence that he hears similar to what Peter is actually saying. Either case explains why he suddenly can hear them when nobody else can around them despite them talking in front of people.
Answer: The humans can actually understand the rabbits. Because notice during the scene when Peter is about to put the carrot in the Old Mr. McGregor's pants, the rabbits are talking quietly, most likely so Mr. McGregor doesn't hear them. And then there aren't any other scenes where they talk at a normal volume, or talk at all around humans, except for at the end when Peter is apologizing to the young Mr. McGregor.

Question: Why is Beverly accused by the whole town of being promiscuous?
Answer: Kids are vicious and make up rumors about eachother. Given she obviously has some hangups and acts awkwardly around others due to her sexually abusive father, rumors simply spun out of control and it became popular for bullies to claim they had fooled around with her.
But it's not just the kids who have accused her. Adults like Eddie's mother have also slut-shamed Beverly.
Once the rumors got out, lots of people spread them despite not knowing anything about her.
They probably overheard the kids saying it and thought it was true what they said about her. Then they probably spread it throughout their friends/family.
There's also another factor: IT's malign influence. While it's unusual for a whole small town to spread such vicious rumors of a 13-year old kid, IT influences the townsfolk, amplifying their resentment, hostility, bitterness, jealousy, and other negative emotions. Derry is IT's feeding ground, and its mental presence permeates all levels of town. A select few, like the Losers Club, are able to resist it.

Answer: Two possible reasons. 1. Hitting him back and telling everybody about Bob being a complete jerk would make him no better then Bob. 2. Bob actually knew the real Luke and if Peter had hit him, Bob could retaliate by telling everybody the truth.
