The Crazies (2010)

Corrected entry: The sheriff is transported out to Quik Phil's, and determines to return to the town. It is later established that the truck stop is 25-27 miles out of town, yet Sheriff Dutton manages to return, on foot, despite roadblocks and armed military, within hours.

Correction: A person walking at a brisk pace averages 4 mph. To go 25 miles would take about 6.5 hours. The truck stop would be 25 to 27 miles along the main road. Being the sheriff, he would likely know shorter overland routes or shortcuts to avoid roadblocks. Jogging, or walking faster would take less time.

The sheriff may have found a bicycle along the way or any kind of conveyance. Nothing in the movie implied that he walked the entire way.

Corrected entry: After Darby shoots the arriving police cars he flees over the buildings' roofs. All roofs are totally covered with snow except for the path Darby takes - prior takes mean there's hardly any snow on that route.

Correction: You are assuming residents of the apartment complex aren't using the rooftop. In many cities, people make access to rooftops, especially children, and they would create a path in the snow. Darby may have simply found it as a path of the least resistance to use for escape purposes.

Broken Arrow (1996)

Corrected entry: The EMP that brings down the chopper for some reason has no effect on the circuits of the remaining nuke, nor or Deakins' watch which he continues to use afterwards. It would fry them irrespective of if they were turned off or not; similarly the same effect would prevent their jeep from working afterwards.

Correction: If a electronic device is off, an EMP has no effect. John Travolta is shown turning his watch off just before the nuke explodes. As the effects of radioactive material at close range is worse on electronic than an EMP, the nuke's electronics are protected from it plus an EMP. (Same issue in space, electronics must be protected from the electrons that are charged and would have the same effect). The Jeep has no real electronic components that would be fried that would prevent it from running, even though John turns the Jeep off too.

It does not matter if an electronic device is off or on; any device within the EMP zone will be rendered useless.
