Leon (1994)

Trivia: During the film, the character Mathilda was depicted as a smoker even before she met Léon and can be seen holding a cigarette early on. Despite assurances from Director Luc Besson, Natalie Portman's parents were so opposed to the idea that they wouldn't allow their daughter to be seen with even candy cigarettes in her mouth, so she only "holds" it, which actually added subtext.

The Wolfman (2010)

Trivia: Maybe more coincidence than trivia, but towards the end of the film, Gwen shoots and kills the Wolfman/Lawrence Talbot - in effect, beauty kills the beast. In Universal Studios' other major classic monster movie, King Kong, the beauty kills the big ape, albeit indirectly.

Suggested correction: King Kong was produced by RKO, not Universal.

I stand corrected. There's been some back and forth as to who owned the franchise at a point. So, coincidentally perhaps, beauty still plays a role in the creature's demise. :).

Trivia: This film was among the first to use early computer rendering and digital visual effects.

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Trivia: Domino, as played by actress Zazie Beetz, did not shave her armpits, visible during the fight on the prisoner transport convoy. Beetz felt that the character should reflect a changing female aesthetic.

Trivia: It seems that Chewbacca never was able to get the hang of that holographic game he loses here to Tobias Beckett. It's the same game he plays against C-3PO in the original Star Wars film and loses in a similar fashion then too.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

Trivia: Nicholas Cage and Elizabeth Shue were so dedicated to the film that she interviewed several real Las Vegas prostitutes while he went on a drinking binge to experience what might happen to his cognition and speech patterns.
