Rocky Balboa (2006)

Trivia: The character of Marie, who Rocky recalls meeting some 30 years ago, appeared in the original Rocky film and returns in this movie, though portrayed by Geraldine Hughes and not Jodi Letizia.

Alien Nation (1988)

Trivia: Stan Winston, Tom Woodruff, Jr. and Gale Ann Hurd - the special effects team and producer behind Aliens, were all involved with Alien Nation as well. James Cameron, of Aliens, had written an early draft of the film.

Trivia: The spacesuit that the character Charles Farmer wore is a replica of the pressure suit used by the Mercury 7 astronauts.

Stupidity: Towards the end, one of the soldiers (Kieran) gets trapped in the store with a group of child hungries - he was injured in an ambush, but is still lucid/human. He threatens them with a grenade, even though he knows that throughout the story they are mindless and hardly capable of reason. Fair enough as a bad character mistake, but then to allow the hungries to close in on him and not detonate the grenade is inexcusable. Soldiers are trained to fight and, to a degree, accept even death, to obtain an objective or protect the others in their "unit." Dying anyway, he should have blown up the hungries to at least whittle down their numbers.

Suggested correction: A soldier not having the nerve to kill himself is hardly "stupid." Suicide goes against the human desire for self-preservation. Even when faced with assured death it would still be difficult for someone to actually kill themselves and it can't be considered a mistake if someone fails to work up the nerve to do so.

Perhaps so, but soldiers accept that, to a level, their lives are expendable to serve the mission, greater good, etc. Some even seek out a honorable demise. Having many servicemen in my family, this is something repeated frequently. I accept your position as valid! He chose not to use the grenade when faced with his being eaten, and it's tragic. Solely in the context of the movie, it just seemed odd to me then-an opinion.

Leon (1994)

Trivia: Léon and Mathilda were meant to get even closer than they did in the final release of the film, including a scene where Léon accidentally walks in on Mathilda washing up in the bathroom-but concerns for decency and potential objections from Portman's parents put a stop to that.

Leon (1994)

Trivia: According to the video extras, Natalie Portman was so in love with the clothes that the character she played of Mathilda Lando wore that she had hoped to keep some of the clothes, noting that Mathilda's tastes were far better and "cooler" than her own at 12 years of age.

Leon (1994)

Trivia: During the film, the character Mathilda was depicted as a smoker even before she met Léon and can be seen holding a cigarette early on. Despite assurances from Director Luc Besson, Natalie Portman's parents were so opposed to the idea that they wouldn't allow their daughter to be seen with even candy cigarettes in her mouth, so she only "holds" it, which actually added subtext.

Labor Day (2013)

Character mistake: No bank would spread out the money on the counter during a withdrawal, especially if it were a significant withdrawal and closing of the account, as when Adele tries to get money for their leaving to Canada.

The Wolfman (2010)

Trivia: Maybe more coincidence than trivia, but towards the end of the film, Gwen shoots and kills the Wolfman/Lawrence Talbot - in effect, beauty kills the beast. In Universal Studios' other major classic monster movie, King Kong, the beauty kills the big ape, albeit indirectly.

Suggested correction: King Kong was produced by RKO, not Universal.

I stand corrected. There's been some back and forth as to who owned the franchise at a point. So, coincidentally perhaps, beauty still plays a role in the creature's demise. :).

Trivia: This film was among the first to use early computer rendering and digital visual effects.

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Trivia: Domino, as played by actress Zazie Beetz, did not shave her armpits, visible during the fight on the prisoner transport convoy. Beetz felt that the character should reflect a changing female aesthetic.

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Trivia: Yukio, who had previously appeared in the 2013 film The Wolverine, plays a short role as Negasonic Teenage Warhead's girlfriend and helps to defeat the Juggernaut.

Trivia: It seems that Chewbacca never was able to get the hang of that holographic game he loses here to Tobias Beckett. It's the same game he plays against C-3PO in the original Star Wars film and loses in a similar fashion then too.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

Trivia: Nicholas Cage and Elizabeth Shue were so dedicated to the film that she interviewed several real Las Vegas prostitutes while he went on a drinking binge to experience what might happen to his cognition and speech patterns.

Other mistake: The unnamed dog of Walter's that survives the plane crash remains looking very healthy, even after a scuffle with a wild cougar, on very little available food and no veterinary attention.

Leap! (2016)

Continuity mistake: Shortly after the start of the film, the heroine meets with the Mother Superior of the orphanage that she is staying at, and just behind her is the cockeyed supervisor, M. Luteau. During the scene he disappears abruptly to allow for a pan out of the property, far too fast for him to have merely walked away.
