Jessica Jones (2015)

A.K.A A Lotta Worms - S3-E12

Factual error: Jessica receives a call from a prisoner at a State Institution. It shows up on her cell phone as "Unknown." All calls from prisoners are collect calls, and the receiver is asked if they will accept the charges. (00:41:20)

MacGyver (2016)

Seeds + Permafrost + Feather - S3-E17

Factual error: Bozer and for that matter I would assume all of the team went to a spycraft academy. A basic subject in any of such academies is surveillance, including proper techniques to follow and stake out someone. Bozer being so inept at tracking MacGyver's father is inconceivable given their training.

Blindspot (2015)

The One Where Jane Visits an Old Friend - S4-E16

Factual error: A newspaper clipping is shown saying a 15 year old boy became the youngest licensed pilot in Connecticut history. It goes on to say he finished his instruction, signed the paperwork, and took off again in a rented plane for his first solo flight. There are many errors here: 1 - The minimum age for even a student pilot's license is 16. For an unpowered glider, it is 14, but such was not the case here. 2 - Further, a student pilot is not a "licensed" pilot. 3 - In order to obtain a private pilot's license, besides all the written tests and practical instruction, the student needs to have completed: 5 hours of solo cross country flying; 1 solo cross country flight of at least 150nm total distance with full stop landings at 3 points; and one segment of at least 50nm between T/O and landings. So he could not have gone on "his first solo flight" after receiving his license. 4 - A new pilot does not have to sign anything. It is the Aviation Examiner that has to sign off the student and give him a temporary license upon satisfactory completion of the private pilot flight test. (00:26:00)

Hawaii Five-0 (2010)

E'ao lu'au a kualima - S9-E17

Factual error: A defibrillator is needed immediately. Adam runs to a storage closet and rummages around for a while, and finally finds a defibrillator deep under other things. This medical clinic is a public place. No one would ever bury an automated external defibrillator (AED) under other items in a storage room. AEDs would be visible and accessible for just such emergencies, as instructed on the devices themselves. (00:35:35)

Whiskey Cavalier (2019)

The Czech List - S1-E2

Factual error: Will is asked by Jai to place his wrist watch - which is filled with explosives - against a wall. He does, and it somehow sticks to the vertical concrete wall. An adhesive back would have been noticed by Will, as it was against his skin on his wrist. Not to mention that an explosion in a contained space that small would have deafened them both, or worse. Project Blue Book (2019)

War Games - S1-E8

Factual error: An Army Lieutenant comes in to announce a phone call. His fatigues have the top button buttoned. Not authorized. An exception is when a person is at the firing range. The top button can be buttoned while in firing position to prevent shell casings from dropping inside the shirt. (00:18:05)

Project Blue Book (2019)

War Games - S1-E8

Factual error: Dr. Hynek is showing a movie on a table projector. The light from the projector is shown directed towards a portable movie screen, and is covering maybe the center quarter of the screen. In the next shot the movie is occupying the entire screen. There is no way the projector being that close to the screen would show a full screen image. It would need a special wide angle lens, which the projector does not have, as shown by the tight beam of light from it. (00:03:40)

Project Blue Book (2019)

War Games - S1-E8

Factual error: General officer topcoats have two mohair stripes on the sleeve. The general wearing the topcoat has none. Second, hands in pockets are not allowed. Regulations state: "members will not... stand or walk with hands in pockets of any uniform combination, other than to insert or remove items." Third, it is unauthorized to turn up collars when it is cold. Gray scarves can be used. Also, the generals both have their 4-star shoulder insignias backwards. The points of the stars parallel to the epaulets should be towards the neck. (00:16:30)

MacGyver (2016)

Lidar + Rogues + Duty - S3-E16

Factual error: MacGyver attaches a hose from a car gasoline filler port to the jet engine from a crashed plane. He uses a makeshift lever and the engine ignites. 1. A crashed jet engine has an astronomically low chance of working. 2. A jet engine runs on essentially refined kerosene with some additives. Automotive fuel would be useless. 3. The hose used to "provide fuel to the engine" is not siphoned to provide a usable flow of gasoline. 4. The braided wire hose is quite a long piece. It just happened to be lying there completely free of any holding clamps or terminations? How would just one piece of a long hose become free of the airplane? 5. The engine is not attached to anything, but the thrust of the lit engine does not move it one inch. 6. Even after being lit, it does not set fire to anything in spite of being in the middle of a lot of combustible material. (00:13:15)

Lidar + Rogues + Duty - S3-E16

Factual error: The pilot of the downed plane was flying a covert mission. If so, he should not have been wearing identifying patches, rank insignia, or an American flag. Especially ones that were not subdued. (00:18:00)

The Enemy Within (2019)

Show generally

Factual error: An FBI briefer is talking about the hijacking of a passenger airliner. He calls it Flight 6175. The airplane has 6175 stenciled on the nose. Those are usually the last four digits of the airplane serial number, used by maintenance and dispatchers to designate a particular aircraft. It is not the flight number of any given trip. The Green Fireballs - S1-E6

Factual error: Captain Quinn refers to the civilian they have just seen as Secretary of Defense Fairchild. In the early 1950s the Secretary of Defense was Robert A. Lovett. The Secretary of the Air Force was Thomas K. Finletter. Nowhere was Fairchild ever SecDef or SecAF. This from a show that purports to be based on real events. (00:10:20)

Factual error: A Master Sergeant is being interrogated. Captain Quinn is reading his ID Card. The card has an expiration date of "Indefinite." Enlisted personnel have a expiration date that coincides with their term of enlistment. Only officers have an "Indefinite" expiration date. (00:15:00)
