Continuity mistake: During the briefing on the hood of the car, after the regatta, both Mulqueen and McMurphy change positions at the cut from wide to closeup. Mulqueen is at the side of the car in the wide shot with his arms crossed, then leaning against the car with his hands on the hood in the close up. McMurphy is about a foot behind Preston in the wide to right beside him in the closeup then back again. Also Koslova lights her cigarette twice during the scene. (01:08:20)

Continuity mistake: When the man from Q branch shows the briefcase to Bond, he removes one of the ammunition sleeves from the case, opens it, slides a few rounds into his hand and then starts to return the rounds to the sleeve. Just before the cut to the throwing knife coming out of the case, Bond is still trying to put the rounds back into the sleeve, with the cap of the sleeve being held between his thumb and first finger of his right hand. At the cut, all the bullets have been replaced and the cap is back on the sleeve. When it cuts back to the wide scene, the cap is off again and Bond is now holding it in is left hand. (00:21:50)

Continuity mistake: When James encounters Tatiana for the first time in the bedroom of the hotel bridal suite, as he begins to sit on the edge of the bed he is holding his Walther in a non threatening position in the palm of his hand, with his thumb on top of the slide. As the scene cuts to the POV of Tatiana, the pistol is being held in a firing position, finger on the trigger, and switches back when the scene cuts back to the wide shot of both of them. Also when Tatiana reaches to move the gun away from pointing at her and says "Guns upset me" she returns her hand to beside her on the bed. At the cut to the wide scene, she is again moving the gun away. (00:53:45)

Continuity mistake: After Harrison (Khan) has attacked the senior officers' meeting and Pike has died, the position of Pike's head on the cushion changes between shots. When Spock disconnects from the mind meld, the stitching on the cushion is above Pike's ears. When Kirk checks for a pulse, the stitching is below Pike's ears. The angle of his head also changes. Continuity mistake: As Kirk and Spock converge in the lobby of the Daystrom building, Spock greets Kirk with "Captain" and Kirk responds "Not anymore Spock, First Officer." There is a cut between "Not anymore" and "Spock." During the cut Spock moves from being in front of Kirk to behind him and the two have moved from the middle of the lobby, with the ramps visible 10 to 15 yards ahead of them to right beside the ramps. Continuity mistake: When Gibbs visits Abbie's lab to ask about the smoke detector and computer, he finds the CPU disassembled on her table. The "hard drive" is placed on a white tray in front of the cover, which has been removed from the CPU. Initially, the hard drive is white in color. However, in the close-up shot, it turns black and looks like a different piece altogether. Furthermore, the white tray disappears, and the hard drive sits on the CPU cover. In the wide-shot, the white tray reappears, and the hard drive is again white as it was originally. (00:24:50)

Continuity mistake: When Gibbs comes into Abbie's lab, she hands him a blue Fufu drink, it starts in her left hand, at the cut it jumps to her right hand. (00:07:50)

Revealing mistake: During season 4 the same television clip of President Bush and VP Cheney disembarking Air Force One is used on the background television in the squad room. In some cases the clip is running and not in unison, on three of the televisions in the same scene from shot to shot.

Sharif Returns - S4-E13

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Gibbs chases Shariff into the railway station restroom, Gibbs' position on The Wall changes, his gun hand passes the corner of The Wall at least three times. Also as he starts to fall to the floor, the long shot from low angle close to the urinals shows Gibbs holding the gun with both hands and they are moving to his right, his left shoulder going into he wall. At the cut, the gun is in his right hand only and moving across his body to the left and his right shoulder is now going into The Wall. The shot cuts to Shariff, who has moved about a foot to his right during the cut, then cuts back to both Gibbs and Shariff, Shariff has returned to his original position and the gun has moved to Gibbs left hand, although we don't really see the gun until he falls and Shariff picks it up, thus ruling out the possibility of the gun being dropped before he falls. (We do hear the gun hit the floor as he falls.) (00:40:10)

Continuity mistake: When Sharif calls Gibbs to gloat, when Sharif ends the call, the shot cuts to Gibbs closing his cell phone, shot cuts to McGee and Col. Mann, when it cuts back to Gibbs, he is closing his phone again. We can even hear the phone close both times. (00:33:10)

Factual error: Throughout the show, skyscrapers are consistently shown. The height of buildings in Washington DC is restricted by the Height of Buildings Act of 1910, and there are no buildings taller than 13 stories.

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Tim and sister Sarah are working on the past evening's timeline, Sarah's clothes lying on the counter change position between the wide shots and the close-ups. Also the plastic her shoes are sitting on in the wide shots disappears in the close-up when she removes them and when she picks up the baggie of money. The screen shot of the locations in the time line also change locations. The 9:30 and 10:00 individual locations show up in the Georgetown University area but when they zoom out to show all three locations, the two time location now show the George Washington University, Foggy Bottom area of D. C., and it shows Tim's residence as being in Arlington National Cemetery. (00:06:35 - 00:07:50)

Factual error: During the sequence where Bankston and Lee are supposed to make the dead drop of Domino, Adams Tavern, the location of the drop, is shown to be at 2177 Pimmit Drive in Woodbridge Va. The map that is showing the location is geographically correct, but "Pimmit Drive" is actually Horner Road. Also once the action leaves the bar, Lee and Bankston hijack a bus that reads "District Transit Authority". Since they are in Woodbridge, the bus service would be OmniLink. (00:30:20 - 00:38:15)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Tony and Ziva discover the dead body in Amanda's hiding place the dead body's extended arm is lying on the rug on the floor, and is left that way when Gibbs tell them to leave, yet in the next scene when Ducky shows Gibbs a picture of the dead body, the rug beneath the extended arm has disappeared. Continuity mistake: After Dunbar and Timmons have arrived at Fort Sedgewick and they realize everyone is gone, after Dunbar says "Not at the moment, we don't know what happened," the shots of Timmons alternate from having no egg on his face to having a lot egg on his face, especially on the tip of his nose.
