Homer & Eddie (1989)

Continuity mistake: When Homer is packing to leave for Oregon you hear the radio blaring in the background. His shirt is still unbuttoned, but then there is a cut to him watching himself in the mirror while he tries various basball caps, with his shirt buttoned and wearing a jacket. Ths wouldn't pass as a mistake if the radio didn't suggest continiuty. (00:00:50)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie Warren receives a painting by his foster child Ndugu, which shows him holding Ndugu's hand. In the two close-ups that show the painting there are some differences: e.g. the bellies are filled with more or less color, or Warren's mouth is drawn first quite crooked, then with a straight smile. About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Warren receives a letter from his foster child Ndugu the letter is addressed '5402 Farnam Street', whereas the number on the curb says '5042' (at 01:52:20 - may change back to 5402 at another point). (00:49:55 - 01:52:20)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Warren gives his speech as the father of the bride and just says "...a companion, a partner..." he is taking the microphone in both hands. When the camera angle changes his left arm is hanging down as before. (01:45:10)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: After Warren arrives at Roberta's they sit in the living room and drink. She gets up to deal with her ex-husband in the kitchen. Then she returns and picks up her drink before she sits down, and when she is sitting she picks it up again. (01:17:45)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Warren sits on the roof of his mobile home and talks to his wife up in heaven, he has built a little altar out of the four Hummel figures he had bought, and three candles. When he drives off the position of all items is just the same, except that there are now only two candles. (01:12:45)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Warren eats the sandwich made by Jeannie he is taking the glass of milk in his hand. When the camera angle changes he is seen rubbing his thumbs against his index fingers. (00:35:45)

About Schmidt (2002)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: While Warren is watching the program about Childreach the items on the little table next to his chair change: the cover of the paperback that is lying face down is first curved up, then flat, and another book that looks like Reader's Digest suddenly appears behind the phone. About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: On the morning after his retirement party Warren is sitting at his desk doing a newspaper puzzle, holding his pencil at the tip. In a close-up of the writing the pencil it is held much higher (that we can see better what he is writing, I guess). Secondly, there is now another piece of paper lying under the newspaper which wasn't there in the wide shot. (00:10:05)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Warren wakes up on the morning of his first day of retirement there is a close-up of the clock on the bedside table turning 7:00. There are two coins in front and something like a round, green container behind, both of which are gone a moment later when he gets out of bed. (00:09:30)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, when Warren is waiting for his last working day to be over, the ticking clock is shown in close-up, and it casts a strange shadow, as if it were lit right from below. In all wide shots there is no shadow at all. (00:01:20)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene Warren is sitting at his desk, waiting for the clock to turn 5 pm. Depending on the camera angle the arrangement of items on his desk varies: the telephone, the mail basket, and the rolled-up cable are sometimes right at the edge, sometimes not, and also the way the cable is rolled up changes. About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: Warren finds Ray's love letters to his wife in a shoe box. The angle in which this box is placed on the box below is first rotated to the right, then to the left. (00:45:35)

About Schmidt (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Warren calls Jeannie from a gas station to announce his arrival, there is one shot at the end of the scene where we see a close-up of Warren on the phone with the rear of his mobile home relatively close in the background. To get this perspective the mobile home must have been moved back from its previous position. (00:51:45)

Continuity mistake: When Frank comes to the train to find all his men dead there's one of them in something like a kowtow position with his hands reaching back. When he is seen from the other side the hands are in front. (02:07:25)

Continuity mistake: Cheyenne shoots a man through the tip of his boot. When we see the boot next, that is a little later when he and Harmonica check the station construction site, both his boots are intact. (01:28:50 - 01:34:20)

NancyFelix

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Cheyenne shoots a man through his boot the curtains at the top the window are happily moving in the wind, but when we see them from outside they are almost still. (01:28:50)
