Tangled (2010)

Question: What is Eugene stabbed with in the movie, a piece of glass or a knife?

Trunks

Chosen answer: It's a long knife, or a medieval dagger called an athame. After she stabs him, she holds up the weapon, revealing what it is. Here's a screenshot of it: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/villains/images/1/1b/Mother_Gothel_demonstrating_her_evil_power.png/revision/latest?cb=20131028164601.

Mean Girls (2004)

Question: Do you know how they filmed Jason getting hit in the face with the radio after Gretchen accidentally kicks it?

Answer: It was a real boom box - a guy that sat two seats away from "Jason" explained that it was on a wire rig and took 4 takes until the boom box broke.

Answer: The radio probably was very light and soft and made of rubber. Either that or Gretchen deliberately didn't kick it far enough for it to hit him, but from the angle it was filmed it looked like it did.

Puss in Boots (2011)

Question: Hey I haven't seen a few bits of the movie but does Humpty trick Puss with that bank? And How does the middle of the P that Puss cuts with his sword at the start of the movie stay in place?

Answer: The middle of the P stays in place because it's an animation. Humpty told Puss he owed people money and they were coming for him, but he really robbed a bank. The guards thought Puss was involved. They tried to arrest him, but Puss scratched one in self defence. He escaped on a wagon and the money accidentally fell off a bridge. He was on the run ever since.

Question: Even though it claims to be the sequel to the first SpongeBob movie, there's no Krusty Krab 2 and Plankton is somehow out of prison and continues trying to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula. Is this movie one of those "prequel" episodes made after the first movie came out?

Answer: The first movie is actually set after the series finale of the show. This is because Stephen Hillenburg wanted the show to end at the Season 3 finale and for the first movie to conclude the series, but Nickelodeon disapproved, since the show was making them heaps of money. So the second movie is probably in line with the episodes after Season 3 and before the series finale. So no, it is probably not a prequel. If we look at it from a logical point of view, Plankton could have been released or escaped, and the Krusty Krab 2 could've closed. We don't know how far apart the episodes and movies are set in terms of time. The series has lots of inconsistencies anyway.

Question: There is a piece of music that can be heard for a split second when the sheriff is walking into the church to investigate the murders, its a man singing, it sounds like he's saying "Donde esta" or something like that, you can hear the exact same thing in Reservoir Dogs when Mr. Blond is tuning through the radio stations looking for K. Billy's super sounds of the 70s right before he tortures the cop, does anybody know what song this is and why Tarantino only plays it for a split second in both of his films?

dan coakley..

Chosen answer: The song was That Certain Female by Charlie Feathers.

The Ugly Truth (2009)

Question: Are there differences between the theatrical, DVD, Blu-Ray, and TV versions of the movie?

jordan215

Chosen answer: No alternate versions of the movie have been released. The version you watch is the version everybody watches. It probably would be edited for free-to-air TV, but almost all movies are.

Question: In the part where all the fish are brainwashed, how come Sandy got brainwashed when she is wearing a helmet? (01:33:05 - 02:13:10)

LIKEme

Chosen answer: The buckets don't brainwash through skin contact. They brainwash through Plankton's signal. All you need to do is wear it close to your brain.

Mean Girls (2004)

Question: When Cady walks into the gym (after the large multi-girl fight scene), she tells the viewer that she knows everyone was just talking about her. How can this be? They only just discovered the book pages in the hallways, and they were so busy fighting each other, they obviously they didn't stop to discuss the fact that Cady was not mentioned on any of the pages. So why would everyone have just been talking about her?

Answer: Girls notice these things easily. The plastics are the most hated girls in the school, so if there's a book saying mean things about everyone, people would assume the plastics are in it. Everyone was running around the room reading all the pages, possibly trying to find what it says about the plastics. Since nobody could find them, they would think the only logical explanation is they wrote the book, just like Mr Duvall, since they're so hated. In the gym, they would've been asking each other if they could find pages about them, and since nobody could, they would be discussing reasons why. And besides, when Cady walked into the gym, everyone was looking at her. That's enough to realise everyone was talking about her, with or without a good reason.

Question: What does Sofie Fatale say in Japanese on her cellphone? Just before Sofie Fatale and the rest of the crew are about to enter the Japanese nightclub, there's a flashback in which she's speaking Japanese into her cellphone during the wedding rehearsal fight. I know it's probably not important for the story, but was always curious: what is she saying? She starts with Mushi mushi, which is all that I recognise.

Answer: It translates to "Hello. I'm in the middle of a meeting. Can you call me back later? You're with your wife? I got it."

Home Alone (1990)

Question: If Old Man Marley is actually a nice man (and not a "shovel slayer" as Buzz claims) then why does he always give Kevin that cold, creepy stare? After Kevin ran away the first time wouldn't he want to talk to Kevin the next time, to assure him that everything is okay?

Answer: Because he's understandably angry that Kevin's so unreasonably scared of him and assumes the worst in him without even getting a chance to know him. He never gets a chance to talk to him, because he always runs away too quickly. The first time he gives him that stare was when Kevin was watching him shovel from the window. Nobody would like to be stared at like that while doing a simple task.

MikeH

Answer: Marley appears that way mostly because the audience sees him from Kevin's point of view. Marley is miserable and sad because he is estranged from his family, but we see him as a crotchety, unpleasant person because that is what Kevin believes. Buzz had tainted Kevin's opinion of him by spreading the false stories that a gullible Kevin believed were true.
