Red 2 (2013)

Question: Was Bailey still insane when they released him from the asylum? Or was it all a trick to get their trust?

Chosen answer: Insane in the sense that he wasn't completely mentally capable? Yes. Insane in that he wanted to blow them up? No. He was heavily medicated while in care and so his ramblings and confusion are supposed to be perceived as genuine. Once he starts commenting that he is beginning to remember his past, we then assume that he realizes what his original intentions were and somehow manages to contact the other agency.

But Bailey states before he kills Katja that he was responsible for leaking the post online that Marvin saw which started the whole thing. He said he took a guard's phone to do it. I believe he was very aware and was just "playing" everyone.

Chosen answer: It is a pill that makes alcohol taste disgusting.

Now You See Me (2013)

Question: Was there any reason to why the Horsemen hypnotized the French banker and half the Las Vegas audience? (00:25:55)

Answer: Actually, Fuller mentions that the audience was pulled in by Tressler to pack the seats, not hypnotized. The hypnosis of half the audience was just part of the show.

Whisper292

Chosen answer: They hypnotized the man to make sure he did every thing they wanted (go to Las Vegas, and also do everything he should whilst he was in the fake "bank"). Because the horsemen weren't famous half the people were hypnotized to fill up the enormous audience stands.

Now You See Me (2013)

Question: Whilst on a ferry, Jack does a magic trick that involves him bending a spoon with "his mind". One of them figures out how he did the trick. The man takes out a spoon and knife from his pocket, meaning he managed to do the trick with the knife and spoon. How did he accomplish this trick with the spoon and knife? (00:04:55)

Chosen answer: The spoon that he finds in Jack's pocket is the one that was originally shown to the audience as a normal solid metal spoon, tapping it on the handrail and so forth, which he then pocketed. The "knife" is actually the snapped-off handle of a second spoon, which Jack used during the trick to show the spoon handle moving downwards by "the power of his mind", which he then palmed and tucked up his sleeve while revealing the third and final spoon, which he'd already bent before the trick, to his audience.

Premium Rush (2012)

Question: During the chase scene at the impound lot, Wilee is chased by a cop onto a high platform and another cop climbs on top of the platform. To avoid the other cop, Wilee jumps off the platform with his bike. In a sudden close-up of Wilee, a slash sound is heard. What is this slash sound I am hearing? (01:11:40)

Chosen answer: I think that sound is the front wheel giving way. If you look closely, you can see that his front wheel is wobbling a little as he escapes. This may be why he ditches his bike and steals the cop's bike soon after.

Question: In the scene where Gatsby is telling Nick his origin story, Nick narrates that Cody (a man he saved and sailed the ocean with) died and he was cheated out of his inheritance by Cody's family and he was once again dirt poor. As this happens, if you listen in the background, you'll notice that there is a song beginning to play. What is this song that is playing? (01:09:40)

Now You See Me (2013)

Question: At the start of the New Orleans show, the Horsemen say the would like to dedicate to show to Dylan and Alma. The audience then start to boo. Anyone know why? Extended version. (00:53:55)

Answer: I see this as a mistake. Unless the other respondent is right, the audience would have no apparent reason to know that Dylan and Alma are after them until the Horsemen say they do.

Whisper292

Chosen answer: Because they're cops and the audience hates the police.

Agents of SHIELD (2013)

Chosen answer: Coulson believes he was resuscitated then sent to Tahiti to recuperate. "A magical place," he calls it. But in the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode "The Magical Place", Coulson, through a mind-reading machine, learns that he was treated by S.H.I.E.L.D. and a fake memory of Tahiti was placed as a "mask" of sorts over the painful memory of the operation, which involved a drug seemingly of alien origin to repair the damage, coupled with a lot of morally dubious surgery.

King Ottokar's Sceptre: Part 2 - S2-E5

Question: When Tintin and the King discover King Ottokar's scepter had been stolen, both Hector and the guards are shown to have been knocked out. Later, Tintin points out that Hector had stolen the scepter by placing it in a camera, put it next to the window and shot it out of the window using the camera. If that's how Hector managed to get the scepter out of the building, then what was it that caused Hector and the guards to get knocked out? (00:33:10 - 00:35:50)

Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.

The Avengers (2012)

Question: Loki gets captured at the opera. Thor then appears and captures him and flies him onto a mountain and is ambushed by Iron Man. At the end of their fight several minutes later, Loki is still there. This obviously means he wanted to be captured. Why would he want to have been captured? He already had the Tesseract, plus all the equipment he needed to open the portal and Hawkeye was just going to break him out anyway. What exactly was his objective once he was in the Helicarrier?

Chosen answer: Loki wants to take out the Avengers as a threat, and the helicarrier is the best place to do that. In a deleted scene, Hawkeye and Loki are discussing this, and Hawkeye says that he knows they are on the Helicarrier, but it is impossible to find with a form of guidance. This you can see when Hawkeye is making his approach on the carrier: he was tracking Loki's scepter.

Friso94

Answer: He still need some more equipment. Eariler in the film, in Loki's HQ, he and Zombied Hawkeye are discussing they need a few pieces to create a stable portal, plus an unlimited power source. Which is Stark Tower and the staff to jump start the machine.

Chosen answer: In a flash forward scene in Season 8, it shows him with his first born: a daughter.

XIII

Answer: Ted's daughter is older as revealed in a flash forward in 'Trilogy Time', when Ted is with his then-only child: a daughter.
