Trivia: In the last scene of the movie when Chris and his son are crossing the street and telling jokes, they pass a man in a suit who gives them a brief nod. This is a cameo appearance from the real Chris Gardner.

Trivia: All of the scenes in this movie were shot in only one take and in one scene the technique really shows. When Jimmy Stewart is drunk, he ad-libbed hiccuping while he was talking. Cary Grant, not expecting the comic relief, had to look down at the floor to keep from laughing (you can see him grinning and collecting himself).

Citizen Kane (1941)

Trivia: An interesting camera trick that Welles used during filming was that many of the shots of Kane were used with the camera looking up at him. For many of the "inferior" characters, the camera is always looking down on them - a subtle reminder of Kane's view of the world.

Citizen Kane (1941)

Trivia: Charles Foster Kane was based on publishing legend William Randolph Hearst and the movie has many in-jokes and gags given at Hearst's expense. The one that Hearst probably took the most offense to was the use of "Rosebud" in the film - it wasn't a childhood toy of his, but the pet name he had given his mistress' private parts.

Love Actually (2003)

Trivia: The short interchange between Colin and the caterer at Peter and Juliet's wedding was originally a scene that was cut from the final version of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Richard Curtis liked the dialogue so much that he injected it into Love Actually.

Trivia: After the first season, the producers hated having to refer to phone numbers by tv and movie standards (beginning with 555) that they purchased two real phone numbers to use throughout the rest of the series.

Trivia: A promotional piece that aired in Spain for this film set off a "War of the Worlds" type of wide spread panic. The promo featured a popular Spanish news anchor and the piece ran as if there really WAS an alien attack to occur on July 4. People believed the broadcast and panicked until officials spread the word that this was only a promo for a US movie. Confirmed on DVD commentary.

Trivia: The female dead body in the funeral home was a real actress, not a mannequin. Because the bug cocoon would be placed in her mouth until it is taken out in the middle of the examination, the prop master made the bug cocoon out of a mixture of tootsie rolls and gummie bears. This way if she accidentally swallowed it, it wouldn't do her any harm.
