Mortug

Question: I didn't get it, but who was the "ghost" deer that led Harry to the pond with the Griffindor sword in it? Or why did it lead him there?

Mortug

Chosen answer: It's not a ghost. It's a patronus, like the one Harry conjured in "The Prisoner of Azkaban," to save Sirius Black. Every wizard's patronus takes a different animal form. An as yet unknown ally (revealed in part 2, and the book) sent the doe patronus to lead Harry to where the Sword of Gryffindor was hidden.

General questions

I saw a movie in the early 90's about a German concentration camp. It was a disturbing movie depicting happenings in the camp. I remember seeing people being led in to gas chambers etc. One particular scene I remember was a little naked boy trying to run away. The German guard let his dog loose and let it chase down the kid killing him. I need to know the title.

Mortug

Chosen answer: The movie is "Escape from Sobibor" starring Rutger Hauer.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Question: When we first see Marcellus he has a plaster on his neck. Anyone know why?

Mortug

Chosen answer: Some would say that it's a plot device to show that Wallace sold his soul to the devil (the devil removes the soul through the neck) and the contents of the briefcase is his soul. The real answer is that Ving Rames had a small cut on the back of his neck that was caused by shaving his head. Quentin liked the look of the plaster and they left it on.

Gladiator (2000)

Question: Was Commodus and Lucilla half brother and sister? Wondering because of Commodus' attraction for Lucilla. Was incest normal at that time?

Mortug

Chosen answer: No, they are full brother and sister. They both had the same mother and father. Incest was not exactly normal at that time, but it stretches back within the imperial families as far as Caligula and possibly earlier. There is no evidence to suggest that the real Commodus was attracted to his sister, it was probably just included in the film in order to make the character seem more disturbed, and also as another reason why he would be Maximus' enemy (Maximus and Lucilla were, after all, once lovers).

The Rundown (2003)

Chosen answer: He wasn't searching him with the toad. The local man was attempting to sell it to him. It was simply odd timing in the movie for that to happen.
