Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: You'll have to use frame by frame on this one, and jog it back and forth to see it. When Luke and Han are first arguing about whether or not the Force exists, Luke turns off his light saber. In the frame just before he turns off his light saber, his hands are in very different positions from the frame after he turns it off. Also, an item on the table to his right disappears, and the little sphere that's been firing at him rotates ever so slightly.

Correction: The requirement to use freeze frame and 'jogging back and forth' invalidates this mistake.

Corrected entry: When Saruman is speaking to the "tens of thousands" of Orcs from atop the tower, watch the shots closely that were taken from behind Saruman. If you watch his head and the side of his face, you can see his head moving like he's talking, but all you hear at that point is Orcs yelling, obviously alluding to the fact that he was saying a line when that shot was filmed, but it was edited out.

rstill

Correction: People's voices get drowned by a yelling crowd all the time, both in real life and in movies. Just because he is a main character in a movie, it does not mean everything he says will be heard.

Die Another Day (2002)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie, when Bond is fighting with Moon on the hovercraft, Moon shoots at Bond with the flamethrower. If you use slowmotion just as Moon is beginning to fire the flamethrower, there are a few frames where you can see that it is shooting water at Bond, indicating that the fire was "drawn in."

rstill

Correction: That is a real flamethrower supplied by Any Effects Ltd. It uses 'Sterno', camping lighter fuel, mixed with hydraulic fluid. This produces a very low temperature flame which is also very 'dirty' - meaning it can be seen on camera (and in real life.) What you see when freezing is the unburned sterno just before it hits the spark plug.
