Continuity mistake: When taking off his heavier clothing at the rear of the car, Jon's hair hangs straight down over his forehead, even covering one eye. He then walks to the driver's door and instantly his hair is very neatly combed to one side. (00:16:05)
Factual error: In Buffalo, Jon Savage drives his Polish girlfriend to the airport. However the problem is that they are driving at approximately 6:30am in broad daylight, in November. In November in Buffalo, the sun would not have even begun to rise at this time, let alone being fully up and out to brighten the day.
Trivia: In the scene when the siblings are checking their father out of hospital, all of the announcements coming over the PA system are sampled from the start of the Queensryche song 'Eyes of a Stranger'.
Trivia: Director and writer Tamara Jenkins is listed on the JS Guggenheim Memorial Foundation's website as a Fellow in Film for the 1995 US and Canada Competition.
