Continuity mistake: Just as they start to sing "What Time Is It" the top of Troy's boxers are visible above his belt. He starts out wearing light colored boxers, which change to dark, then light, and again to dark colored boxers during this song. (00:02:05)

Continuity mistake: Both Jason and Chad, who are wearing blue shirts and white aprons, are serving burgers, when Troy tells Chad that he wants Swiss cheese on his burger. Next shot in the kitchen, when Chad hands that burger to Zeke to add the Swiss, behind him Jason has been on kitchen dish duty wearing the green tee and blue apron. He can't be in two places at once. Revealing mistake: When Troy crouches down on the rocks, and leans down to see his reflection in the water, oddly the reflection is not reversed, yet his hair is combed the opposite way. (Did the director actually think that if Troy's hair was combed the opposite way it would pass as a reversed reflection?) Additionally, when he crouches down, the bottom button on Troy's shirt is unbuttoned, but in the reflection (as well as in the previous and following shots) the bottom button is buttoned up.

Trivia: Miley Cyrus has a brief cameo at the end of the film in the musical number "All For One". She is seen in a quick close-up, wearing a yellow top, dancing with other people on the rocks around the pool.

Chad Danforth: You got game?
Ryan Evans: A little.

Chad Danforth: That girl needs to take up knitting... Or some sport where she can only injure herself.

Sharpay Evans: I told you to hire Troy Bolton, not the entire east high student body!

Question: In the scene where Troy and Gabriella are singing "You Are The Music In Me", how the deuce does a whole band start playing yet only the piano is being played? Is this a mistake?

Chosen answer: It's a Musical. Instruments that aren't shown are always playing like this in these types of movies.

Question: Can anyone explain what the meaning behind the baseball game was? All I get from it is that Chad didn't think Ryan was good enough to play.

Chosen answer: Although the dialogue makes it hard to follow, the game was actually a challenge between Ryan/Gabriella and Chad. If Ryan's team won, Chad and the guys would have to perform in the talent show; if Chad's team won, Gabriella and Ryan would have to forget the whole thing. Ultimately Ryan won the respect of the guys even though his team lost the game hence Chad asking what would he have to do in the show.

Question: Is it true that the song "I Don't Dance" was specifically written for Corbin and Lucas because they both auditioned for the role of Ryan, but since Lucas was a better dancer, he got the part?

Chosen answer: It is just a coincidence. Corbin's character is all about sports and feels that Ryan is not in the same league when it comes to baseball (pardon the pun). Ryan, on the other hand, wants to prove that dancing takes just as much athleticism and dedication as sports therefore the game and song are a showdown between two cliques you generally find in high school, the athletes and the drama club.
