Ocean's Thirteen

Continuity mistake: In the opening of the movie, when Rusty and Danny are flying back to visit Rueben, you see them boarding a Gulfstream G200. However, the interior shots actually show them flying in a Gulfstream 5 (probably the one on the ramp next to the G200 when they exit the aircraft).

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Danny and Rusty are talking to Roman in the kitchen, the camera can be seen in the reflection of the kitchen window.

Continuity mistake: While the group talks about the plan to flirt with Sponder, Linus snaps his fingers and the position of his arm swaps from being up to being at waist level from one frame to the other when the angle changes.

Trivia: Banks and Reuben mention being the few alive on the strip that actually shook Frank Sinatra's hand. Frank Sinatra played Danny Ocean in the original Ocean's 11.

Trivia: throughout the movie, quotes from The Godfather are said by the actors. For example, Reuben says, "I hear cars pulling in. I hear whispering conversations. Linus crying. Why don't you tell me what everyone else seems to know?" This is almost exactly what Don Corleone is asking Tom Hagan in the Godfather in the scene where he finds out Sonny has been killed. Another quote from the Godfather is when Danny is trying to pull a on Banks, he says, "What I want, [pause] what's most important to me. . ." In the Godfather, Michael says this about his father's safety at the meeting where he kills McCluskey and The Turk.

Trivia: Another link to the Godfather series: Al Pacino and Andy Garcia had previously starred together in The Godfather Part III in 1990.

Rusty Ryan: Are you all right?
Danny Ocean: Yeah, um, I just bit into a red pepper.
Rusty Ryan: Is that... Are you... Are you watching Oprah?

Terry Benedict: You think this is funny?
Danny Ocean: Well, Terry, it sure as shit ain't sad.

Guest: A friend of mine, a very serious man, told me very seriously that it would be a good idea if I left the hotel. I'm taking his suggestion.

Question: Can anyone give some insight as to what was used to contaminate the hotel reviewer's room?

Chosen answer: I don't think there's any way of providing an exact answer to this question, but I think it's safe to say that whatever materials they used were highly bacterial but not lethal (otherwise the 5 Diamond Award critic would be dead or in serious condition).

Question: This has a always perplexed me about Ocean's Thirteen and the egg. Danny/Rusty already had the real egg before Toulour got to the museum. So when Matt Damon and Julia Roberts went into the museum, they were actually trying to steal the fake egg. But when Matt Damon did the switcheroo and took the fake egg and placed the hologram on the pedestal, that meant there really was no egg there. So when Toulour went in to steal the egg, what could he have stolen?

Alec

Chosen answer: First off, that was Ocean's Twelve. Anyway, they never did make the switch at the museum. However, they'd already switched the egg before it ever got to the museum, so either way, Toulour was going to be stealing a copy. The reason they continued to keep up the act that they were trying to steal the egg was because they needed to string Toulour along just as LeMarque tells them in the flashback toward the end of the movie.

Question: This is actually a few questions about the same thing: Why did Matt Damon say 'the nose played' so often? What was so important about his fake nose? Also, here's another question: why was he wearing a fake nose in the first place?

Chosen answer: Linus was trying very hard in all three movies to prove himself to Danny, Rusty, and his parents. The nose is obviously his innovation, and he wants to show that it's a great disguise entirely of his own creation... even though it's pretty obviously superfluous, as it seems that no one recognizes him anyhow.

Answer: The "nose plays" relates the size of a man's nose equating to the size of their genitalia.
