Audio problem: The carts the guards are chasing Pee-Wee in are electric, which we see when they first get to them and have to unplug them. However throughout the entire chase scene we distinctly hear gas engine sounds. (01:12:30)

Continuity mistake: When P.W. is escaping certain trouble somehow his handle bar comes off (with ribbons) a new one is replaced (without ribbons) - cool bike huh? But in the next scene the new handle has ribbons... (01:13:00)
Pee-wee: There's a lotta things about me you don't know anything about, Dottie. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand.
Dottie: I don't understand.
Pee-wee: You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel. So long, Dott.
Trivia: Tim Burton appears in a cameo when Pee Wee is accosted in the alley on his way to the psychic. He says to Pee Wee, "we don't take kindly to strangers on our turf!" (00:30:35)
Question: When Pee-Wee offers gum to Francis and Mr. Buxton as a peace offering, what was it with the gum that caused Mr. Buxton to scream?

Answer: It was some sort of gag gum (popular in the past) that either had hot pepper/cinnamon or simply tasted terrible.
