Continuity mistake: When P.W. is escaping certain trouble somehow his handle bar comes off (with ribbons) a new one is replaced (without ribbons) - cool bike huh? But in the next scene the new handle has ribbons... (01:13:00)
Pee-wee: Go ahead and scream your head off! We're miles from where anyone can hear you.
Trivia: Just as Pee-Wee walks into the Joke Shop at the beginning of the film (after he chains his bike to the clown), there is a mini-poster of Elvira on the shop's wall. (00:14:25)
