The Parent Trap

Audio problem: When Annie is saying goodbye to her butler Martin and they perform their legendary handshake, Annie is the first to put her hand down when they stack their hands, however you hear a clapping sound.

Audio problem: In the scene where Hallie (pretending to be Annie) meets her mom for the first time, right after her mom says "No I absolutely love it" going to the next shot, you can see Hallie taking a breath. After she closes her mouth, you hear that breath.

Audio problem: When Hallie and Annie are fencing, there is a scene where Annie's sword is thrown in the air. Upon Annie catching it, it is her London accent that says "Nice catch" and Hallie's accent that says "Thanks". To be correct, it would have to be the other way around. (00:11:27)

Audio problem: Elizabeth said "grandmother" and it appears as though the word"grandfather" was dubbed in very poorly. There was a grandmother and grandfather in the original movie; but only a grandfather in the remake.

Suggested correction: Elizabeth actually said grand-ma-father, catching herself starting to say grandmother and changing it to grandfather. This mistake on her part was left in because they rationalized it as Elizabeth just being nervous about going on the trip.

Revealing mistake: When Hallie is about to pierce Annie's ear, Annie puts the apple underneath her earlobe and Hallie puts the needle in - you can clearly see that Annie's ear already has a hole in it. (00:40:39)

Suggested correction: I've looked at it closely. I can't see a hole anywhere.

You can also see that Annie's ear is already pierced during the lake scene.

Question: Towards the end of the movie, when the parents are looking at the wine bottles, they hear Martin and Chessy arrive home. Nick tells Elizabeth "she has a key" - why does Elizabeth back up right away as he said that?

Answer: I think she was scared of falling in love with Nick again, and maybe because she thought they were better off not together, considering they became successful and achieved each other's dreams when they were apart.
