Continuity mistake: Around the beginning of the movie, when Rango is called by the armadillo, he's shocked and drops the glass in his hand, followed by the breaking sound, but as the scene continues, the shattered glass is nowhere on the road.

Rango is a CGI cartoon about a modern-day acting chameleon who's suffering from an identity crisis. He comes across the old western town of Dirt and befriends a lonesome iguana named Beans. Dirt is dying and it is up to Rango to solve the mystery of why its water is running out. Funny and smart, Rango will keep you generally entertained, teach you about animals of the dessert, and maybe leave you whistling a tune while thinking about the west awhile. Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin and more fill in the cast.
Trivia: At the beginning of the movie when Rango is flying around on the highway he lands on the windshield of a red car with a bald man smoking a cigarette, that is a reference to the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in which Johnny Depp stars.
Question: Why didn't Roadkill the armadillo die by getting run over, and how did he put himself back together?
Answer: The movie is supposed to be surreal. There is no explanation given.
Answer: The only answer I can really give is that it's an animated movie made by Nickelodeon. In other animated movies/shows such as Spongebob, the characters kind of just put themselves back together and act as if nothing happened.

Answer: I think he was a ghost... in a way. He was like Rangos guardian.
