Death Race 2 (2010)

I own this movie on DVD.

While not as good as the first movie, Death Race 2 is still a decent flick as a prequel to the 2008 movie. Setting up characters and events for that first one, and the origins of the original Frankenstein. It is a somewhat lesser film than that first one, but Luke Goss is still a likeable lead and carries the movie well. However this movie, while as a prequel, suffers more from sequelitis a lot with repeating many of the same beats and plot of the first film and has even mostly the same cars and a few of the same characters. Though notable some cars driven by different characters, but look nearly the same.
this movie isn't bad... but it's not really good either. Where I gave the first one a 7 out of 10, this one is a 6 out of 10. Again, not bad, and still a fun watch. Just it does lack a bit. However... it only gets worse from here.

Mistake Status: I plan to do the Death Race franchise for mistakes at some point. Including all 6 films and even Death Racers from The Asylum as a bonus.
